The "International" football match shown briefly on the hospital TV set, was actually the famous 1953 F.A. Cup Final between Blackpool (the winners) and Bolton Wanderers.
The hospital where the little girl is being treated is actually Putney Hospital in Putney London. The hospital was functioning at the time the film was made but closed permanently in 1999 and later demolished.
