It is set in Dallas with plenty of gunfighters who take law on their own hands , which cause diverse problems . Villian Fast Draw assaults a stagecoach with various passengers as Clay Stone (Fred Beir), saloon dancer Katy Dior (Eva Marandi) and gambler Fred Foster (Olivier Mathot) , and subsequently abduct the singer Katy . When Stone arrives in the lawless town , he is ready to free her and to take vengeance against the bandits killed his father . Meantime , Clay befriends a local banker (Angel Alvarez of Django) , the upright sheriff (Andrea Aureli) and falls in love for an old girlfriend (Dina De Santis) from childhood who lives along her little boy brother . Soon after , Fast Draw and his gang of nasty assailants rob another stagecoach . Along the way Clay sets out in pursuit of the stage robber and his band .
This Chorizo/Pasta Western results to be a Spanish/Italian/French co-production that packs lousy acting , fistfights , shootouts , assaults and ordinary brawls at saloon with regular dancers singing and dancing . It is just a pretty bad Paella Western due to low budget and its director is a sort of Spanish Ed Wood , similar to Demofilo Fidani or Miles Deem , deemed to be the Spaghetti Western Ed Wood . It is a Spanish made western that came to the big screen when the top time of the genre was rising . In fact , early and mid sixties is the best time to find out good spaghetti/Chorizo Westerns , however , this is lousily made , following an American style , with little violence , neither much action , nor interesting roles , but a routine and standard story . Here often feels more like a traditional oater instead of Sergio Leone style associated with Spaghetti Westerns of this era that usually contained typical particularities as sadism , bloodbaths , violent fury , and close-ups of grime-encrusted faces . As the movie does not follow utterly the typical paths of the European western wave around seventies , it lacks both the sarcasm and the Eastwood type of antihero It's a Spanish realization .This is not the usual Spanish/Italian co-production of the 60s and 70s in which were clearly dominated by the Italian contingent and the traditional leanings of the Spanish producers of the time have their stamp on the entire proceedings . This one is more a Spanish Western than Italian one , being badly realized with some exciting moments , it drags a lot , balancing in ups and downs ; turning out to be entertaining enough , but below average . Here appear customary main and secondary actors from Spaghetti/Tortilla or Paella Western that give mediocre interpretations . American television actor Fred Beir gives a subdued , but so-so performance playing a stubborn, hero taking off the outlaws who are attacking , assaulting and kidnapping townsfolks . As he seeks vengeance and justice for his death's father , an usual plot in Spaghetti western sub-genre. Furthermore , here shows up passable secondary cast , with plenty of Spanish secondaries , some of them Spaghetti/Paella's ordinaries such as : Angel Alvarez , Luis Induni , Jesus Puente and Italian ones as Roberto Messina and Andrea Aureli . Worn-out and faded cinematography in Eastmancolor with several dark and night moments . Shot on location in Aldea Del Fresno , and Colmenar Viejo , Madrid . As well as anti-climatic , inappropriate musical score , adding a number of songs .
