Zeb returns to his parents homestead in Virginia, which can be seen to be surrounded by - the Malibu Mountains. The Malibu Mountains of California could never be confused with the Blue Ridge of the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia.

It was won by the courage of simple people, who pushed their ponderous wagons forever west, through 200.000 square miles of awesome wilderness. Some were drawn by the lure of gold, but for the most part they were families, moved by the dream of a new beginning. This story is about such a family. Their name: Macahan. The sons and daughters of Katherine Macahan were destined to write their own brilliant pages into the history of the west. What happened next?

This tv series was broadcasted by Spanish tv in 1982, the Macahans and also How the West Was Won.It was broadcasted everything but the end. Since that time the adventures of the Macahan family is a mystery. Please if any of you have seen the conclusion,let me know.
