Even if you don't watch "Sinbad: The Battle of the Dark Knights", you really should read the IMDB trivia section for it. It's because out of the many thousands of films I've seen, none of them have crazier trivia sections. You just have to read it...and you'll be amazed!
If you do decide to see the film, it's not especially good and currently has an appalling overall score of 2.2. But because so few people have reviewed it or scored it, it will never make IMDB's infamous Bottom 100 List...though it's score alone is worse than many movies on the list.
Although the story is supposed to be about Sinbad, a mythical figure from what is modern day Iraq, part of the film also involves Chinese warriors. Oddly, none of the principle actors look Iraqi nor Chinese. Instead, you have a lot of white folks in all the acting roles and the only folks who look otherwise are locals used sparingly as extras.
The story is told by some magical modern guy with a magical book he shows a teen. At first this is interesting...but over time the kid and magical guy pop in and out of the story with little reason to it. Regardless, the book tells a story about some maniac guy who seems unkillable and his annoyingly overacting boss (Dean Stockwell). As the story progresses, it all becomes very jumbled and nonsensical. I really think they ran out of money and just shoved the footage they had together somewhat haphazardly. Overall, a film that merits a 1 or a 2....though it's not nearly as horrible as the trivia section would suggest.
