Batman Beyond (1999)

Trivia

Batman Beyond

Edit
The WB Television Network never allowed Bruce Wayne's age to be revealed in this TV series because they did not want him to be thought of as old and decrepit. In one episode where Bruce has a birthday, the writers said his age in the initial script, but had to take it out because the network would not allow it to be revealed. The producers, however, said off-the-record that Bruce Wayne was about 80.
Will Friedle had never done any voice acting before auditioning for Batman/Terry McGinnis in this TV series.
Alan Burnett came up with the idea to start the TV series off with Bruce Wayne's last night out as Batman.
One of the strictest rules of Saturday morning animated TV series was to never fire a gun at the camera. However, this TV series managed to pull it off several times in the premiere episode of Season 2. One of these scenes was even used in a promotional clip for the episode.
Starting with season 2, The WB Television Network wanted more stories in the TV series to be about high school drama and less about corporate corruption. The writers even joked about that with having Bruce Wayne say in one episode "I've seen it all: demons, witch boys, immortals, zombies. But this thing, I don't know, it just feels so...high school."
