Asmodeu, the Evil, is played by seven different actors.
The set was built in a huge circus dome in front of Projac (Globo Channel Studios).
Shot entirely in a set inside a "dome", built on the very same stage used for Rock in Rio III. The sets were built as a cyclorama and the entire background landscape was hand painted by artist Clécio Regis.
Letícia Sabatella considered retiring from acting, "fame and the spotlights" and was living in a rural area in Brazil when Luiz Fernando Carvalho approached her for the title role. According to her, when Sabatella declined stating she would prefer to work on the farm, Carvalho said: "That's exactly why you'll be into it."
Rodrigo Santoro would not recognize a grown up Carolina Oliveira before the reunion cast in Encontro com Fátima Bernardes (2012).
