Featured review
This film is one of the most effective uses of special fx that i have ever seen on a short film.
The story tells the tale of one man and his dog who embark on a journey through torrential rain to catch a bus to the cemetery on the anniversary of the man's wife's death.
The main character plays the role to perfection. He is a carbon copy of the late Vincent Price and expresses sadness and joy with nothing more than slight movements of his eyes and mouth. As there is no dialouge the emotional story relies on its characters performance, and the cast do not let you down.
The look of the film is akin to Sin City crossed with The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. The budget of this short had to take into account a lot of green screen and special fx, not to mention interior rain sets that look like something out of Road to Peridition.
