‘Snow White’ Stars Test Their Wits
Storyline
Featured review
I bought this movie because I have been following the music-stream hardcore in Holland since I was 12. This is the story of Duncan Stutterheim, one of the 3 founders of ID&T. ID&T (Irfan, Duncan and Theo) started with one rave-party in 1992, "The Final Exam", which attracted as much as 12.000 visitors. From this party on it only grew bigger and bigger. ID&T hosted more and more party's, some well-known like Thunderdome, Mystery Land and Sensation. The party's grew bigger and bigger and they started a record company, ID&T music, made magazines (Thundermagazine / ID&T Release), started a Radio channel (SLAMFM), had their own merchandising for all different party's and so on and so on!
This movie is about the becoming of sensation, now one of the largest dance-events ever. You see fragments of parties from "The Final Exam" in 1992 till "Sensation" in 2005. You find out why Sensation has 2 themes (Black & White). You also get to meet Duncan and his father, wife and child. The story has guest-appearances like Armin van Buuren (who made the sensation-anthem that year), Dj Dano, Joop van den Ende and Mental Theo.
All and all I thought I got to see a movie, but it's really a documentary, which I was not pre-set for. The documentary's storyline I found a little hard to follow. It had lots of loose fragments sticked together. The DVD contains 48 minutes of extra scenes! A worth-see if you're interested in the ID&T story.
