At the Rud farm we meet mother, father, grandmother, two children named Signe and Hans, and farm people. There are lots of works to do before Christmas. Hans and Signe's task is to get a Christmas tree, but discover some weird tracks at the forest. They first believe the tracks could simply have been made by a hare, but can't get rid of the idea that maybe Santa Claus made them. The father doesn't believe in Santa Claus, but the grandmother does. Maybe the children get to meet Santa Claus?
