Trivia
The poem that Father brown reads from the book is Antigonish, an 1899 poem by the American educator and poet, William Hughes Mearns. It was inspired by reports of a ghost of a man roaming the stairs of a haunted house, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. The poem was originally part of a play called The Psyco-ed, which Mearns had written for an English class at Harvard University.

Goofs
When Peter is asked about his gun, he says he keeps it behind the desk. Then he looks in a drawer for it. No shotgun would fit in the drawer. The implication is that Lola stole Peter's (shot)gun to kill Finch. The stolen gun Finch uses is a shotgun to kill Serge and threaten the group.

No neckbeards

Get this guy out of here omg! No self respecting man in the 50s would let himself go like that and walk around town. People would ask about it and heckle him and tell him to clean himself up. He wouldn't be let into places because they'd think he was a homeless bum! Mrs McArthy is a woman of standards and she'd force him to shave and clean up. And every woman would tell him to go away. I get this was during the pandemic.. But trying to appeal to lazy people who can't look after themselves isn't getting you viewers and viewers... I like his character but letting him be like that in the show is ridiculous. Also the casting for this episode was terrible.
