Christina Applegate made an appearance at the Emmy Awards to present the first trophy of the night.

After host Anthony Anderson announced the Married… with Children alum, Applegate made her entrance and was received with a standing ovation by the audience.

Anderson walked up to the Emmy-winning star and walked with her to the podium to present the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.

Applegate was moved by the reception, with tears flooding her eyes. The Dead to Me star took a moment to gather herself and gave Anderson a hug during the emotional moment.

“You’re totally shaming me with disability by standing up, but it’s Ok,” Applegate joked before adding, “Body not by Ozempic.”

Later on, Applegate would quip about the man who accompanied her on stage, saying, “I actually don’t need him here; he’s just really cute.”

Disney is poised to be the top entertainment industry beneficiary of a potential improvement in U.S.-China relations, according to a veteran Wall Street analyst.

On the occasion of talks in California this week between China’s Xi Jinping and President Biden, Tim Nollen of Macquarie singled out Disney, ad tech firm The Trade Desk and video game software maker Unity as having the most to gain from the diplomacy. China recently has become more isolationist and less democratic, by most measures, and the Biden Administration has made it a priority to mend relations after predecessor Donald Trump waged a trade war against China and engaged in other saber-rattling.

The Emmy award-winning star opened up about filming the last season of the Netflix dramedy opposite Linda Cardellini when she hinted she was not going to act in front of a lens anymore.

“Ping-pong is so much more fun when the other person is just as good as you are. I’m probably not going to work on-camera again, but I’m so glad that I went out with someone who is by far the greatest actress I’ve ever worked with in my entire life, if not the greatest human I’ve ever known,” Applegate told Vanity Fair.

However, just because Applegate said she was done acting in front of cameras, didn’t mean she was quitting acting. The Samantha Who? alum said she was open to doing voice-over work.
