Marie Lemaire, a rich widow and businesswoman has been poisoned in Biot, a town near Nice. In the night Marie Lemaire had dinner with the tradespeople of Biot. The deputy district attorney Elisabeth Richard and the gendarmerie captain Jouanic have to investigate all the people who were present in the dinner: his nephrew , who becomes heir of the business and his young wife Julie, the foodtruck owner, the baker, the former mistress of the husband of Marie, the garden designer Clémentine and also the restaurant owner. Little by little Elisabeth and Charles begin to understand the relationships between Marie and these suspects. The case becomes more complicated when Olivia Rousseau, the former mistress is found death, also by poisoning.
An interesting case with a good cast: Florence Pernel, Guillaume Cramoisan, Lola Dewaere , Gwendolyn Gourvenec and Charlie Joirkin.

Many of the episodes featuring Florence Pernel are mysteries on the lighter side. This one is no exception, starting the episode discussing her fashions and her assistant's love life. I do recommend this episode. Watch it on a night when you need something light and breezy, although it does get a little tense at the end.
It is wonderful to see Stéphane Blancafort who played David in the fabulous Acorn series Candace Renoir.
The two highlights of this show are the house where the main action takes place and the gorgeous scenery and old buildings of the town. They are worth the price of admission!
I watched this show on a streaming service called Hoopla which shows many of the MhZ network shows. It is a service you get through your public library and watch on a Roku or on your computer. Ask at your library if they have the service. Another fantastic show I watched on Hoopla was Captain Marleau. Please ignore the goofy art they put on the show title!

Not being a fan of crime genre, I admired the construction of story, the beautiful acting, the fair - inspired portraits of characters, with touching traits, the architecture of plot, Biot and the contrast of houses, from stone to glass and ancier.
A beautiful policier, not different by many other French films of genre but correct in each detail.
