I've seen some weird short films, but "Gary Screams for You" is one of the weirdest. Gary, the main character, reminds me of Nicolas Cage's character in the feature film "Vampire's Kiss". Both films are funny, strange, insane, and perplexing. Gary works as a campus security guard and he's obsessed with an Internet video of a monkey or an ape. (I'm not sure which one it is.) He goes to strangers in public and behaves oddly and wildly. I think he's pretending to be a monkey and/or an ape. It'll make you go, "WTF?" Other characters in the film also behave like him. Why? I don't know. Are they all mentally ill? Again, I don't know. Well, I don't think there was an explanation for the behaviour of Nic Cage's character either.
"Gary Screams for You" is entertaining, but I don't know if everyone will enjoy it. Maybe some will find it off-putting. I was impressed with the acting, cinematography, writing, and such. The film's definitely unique and unpredictable. I was obviously confused, but I laughed. I'm not sure who I'd recommend it to, though. Maybe people who enjoyed "Vampire's Kiss".
