I used to love Gamesmaster as a kid. Before the internet it was a great way of seeing footage of games that you couldn't afford to buy/play.
With that in the locker I was worried when I heard that there was a new series. I shouldn't have been worried, as it's entertaining and retains a lot of the original vibe of the show.
The main presenter is likable, funny and knowledgeable. The other presenters are slightly marmite, the lady is likeable and knowledgeable, the other is slightly annoying. But I can see how he functions as the hype man and to bring energy. I also love Trevor Mcdonald as The Gamesmaster, I think it works really well (and I loved the original one).
Overall I'm really impressed with this show, it's a lot better than expected and a great modernisation whilst keeping the feel of the original.

Probably 5% of the show looks at actual gaming content. The rest of the time it's just idle chit-chat amongst some pretty dim and annoying hosts / guests. It's a real shame as it's actually pretty difficult to screw something up so badly.

The Scottish host (comedian from Burnistoun) makes this for me. There's some funny sketches between the games and Trevor McDonald is also awesome. I hope they make more. The reviewer giving one star must have no sense of humour.

I can't believe we only got three episodes personally I feel if we had been given more episodes more people would have been more positive about the show.
There was a lot to like here it felt like Gamesmaster to me they kept the music, the original iconic font/logo they even kept the atmosphere not to mention the famous golden joystick i tuned in to each episode as it aired on YouTube with utter excitement just like I did when I used to watch the original show back in the day this was a massive nostalgia trip for me.
But there are also things I was gonna have to get used to such as three new presenters and the fact that this was no longer a show just for Gamesmaster fans but also a show to cater for a new more modern audience/generation personally I think they did really well it did take me a while to get used to all the changes and that's why I feel having more episodes would have been beneficial.
I have heard on the grape vine that more episodes or a new season is coming at some point in 2023 but I've heard nothing for quite some time.
