Back in January, we brought you a new "Ice Age" short, called "Scrat's Continental Crack-Up," that showed Scrat splitting earth into continents. Today, we have a follow-up to that short that continues the story. Check out the new short below and the first one here. Plot: Scrat's nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he's been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences - a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home. Meanwhile, "Ice Age: Continental Drift," which is the fourth installment in the franchise, is set to hit theaters on July 13th, 2012. Video: If you cannot see the player, click here.

Fans of the Ice Age franchise rejoice! A new Scrat short film has debuted in advance of next year's Ice Age: Continental Drift feature film. The first Scrat's Continental Crack-Up short debuted online back in January and played in front of Jack Black's Gulliver's Travels. This second short has been released and will most likely play in front of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, out December 16. This second part picks up where the first short left off, though it seems to serve as a preview for the upcoming fourth Ice Age feature film as Scrat eventually finds himself aboard a pirate ship where Manny, Diego and Sid are being held captive. Both shorts are below and you can also watch them in HD over on Apple. Ice Age: Continental Drift arrives July 13, 2012. Part...

Since the run-up to the release of Blue Sky Studios' Ice Age in 2002, the best spokesman -- spokesanimal? -- for the film series has been a creature that can barely speak. The acorn-obsessed Scrat, a sabre-toothed squirrel, has starred in trailers and shorts and is one of the most consistently entertaining parts of the actual films. With the latest film in the series, Ice Age: Continental Drift, hitting theaters in July 2012, Fox and Blue Sky are way ahead of the curve in getting the word out. The first part of the short Scrat's Continental Crack-Up showed up way back in January of this year, and now we've got the conclusion. Check it out below. Here's the first part of Scrat's Contintental Crack-Up, as a refresher. And here's part two, new today: Check it out in HD at Apple [1]. Scrat's nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he's been after since the dawn of time,...

He's back for more! We're all certainly familiar with Scrat, the lovable prehistoric saber-toothed squirrel who's obsessed with acorns, that is a key part of the marketing for Blue Sky Studio's Ice Age movies. Hitting next summer is Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth movie in the animated franchise, and Fox has unveiled the second Scrat short in high def via Apple to tease this movie. This new one is called Scrat's Continental Crack-Up Part 2 and is a continuation of the first Scrat short teaser we posted earlier this year. It's another fun two minute short, so if you want some Scrat hilarity to brighten your day, here you go! Watch the short Scrat's Continental Crack-Up Part 2, for Fox's Ice Age: Continental Drift, here: Here's a synopsis for Ice Age: Continental Drift, co-directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier at Blue Sky Studios: One of filmdom's most beloved trios -...

20th Century Fox has debuted a second Scrat short film in advance of next year's release of Ice Age: Continental Drift, which is set to hit theaters on July 13, 2012. This is the second in Scrat's Continental Crack-Up shorts, the first of which debuted online all the way back in January and played in front of Gulliver's Travels before that. This time around Fox is giving you the chance to watch the short online first as I suspect it will play in front of Alvin and the Chipmunks - Chipwrecked on December 16. This one picks up where the first one left off, but doesn't really have much to do with the continental crack-up from the first short. Instead it appears to be more of a preview of events to come in the fourth Ice Age film as Scrat finds himself aboard a curious pirate ship of sorts where Manny (voiced by...

It's so nice to have animated shorts back. We don't get a lot from DreamWorks, but Pixar, Warner Bros. and Blue Sky have been repeatedly turning out some entertaining animated shorts that have been running before their movies. To promote Ice Age: Continental Drift, in theaters next summer, Blue Sky is creating a series of shorts called "Scrat's Continental Crack-Up" featuring everyone's favorite prehistoric crackhead squirrel. Normally you'd have to wait until Alvin And The...

For better or worse, the prehistoric crew of the Ice Age films just keep having adventures as the world changes around them. We've already gotten the standard animated short, Scrat's Continental Crack-Up, featuring the paranoid and unlucky squirrel Scrat introducing the next installment in the franchise, Ice Age: Continental Drift. Once again our favorite acorn-chasing squirrel is front and center on a ncute ew teaser poster for the sequel and he seems to find himself stranded on a makeshift iceberg raft complete with a flying squirrel companion (perhaps a new character?) forming a Jolly Roger pirate flag. See it below! The teaser poster for Ice Age: Continental Drift from Imp Awards (click for larger version): Here's a synopsis for Ice Age: Continental Drift, co-directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier at Blue Sky Studios: One of filmdom's most beloved trios - Ice Age's Manny, Diego, and Sid -...
