When DCI Maggie Brand (Tamsin Greig) learns that a witness she needs to interview is in Schwerin, Germany, she's told that she can fly there via either Hamburg or Frankfurt. Hamburg is in northwestern Germany, Frankfurt in central-southern Germany and Schwerin is in northeastern Germany. Flying to Hamburg and then driving to Schwerin (as Maggie does in the film) makes sense; going there via Frankfurt does not.
