Cute film and lovely scenery ... but she ends up with the love interest we were not invested in. My heart breaks for the other guy. The guy we were all rooting for from the start. And the film also ends not like the typical romcom. Normally you don't feel a broken heart for one of the characters. But now we do. He just got a bottle of wine and he smiled. That's it. Plus the guy who is getting the protagonist: we don't know anything about him. He's kept rather one dimensional. The only reason she's choosing him is because he's kissing well. She hardly knows him. Still not at the end of the film. We the viewers know the other guy a little bit better. The editing, the script is all set up so we all get invested in the guy who is not getting the girl. Why? And the guy who gets her, literally also keeps hidden behind this cap he's wearing. Not even at the end it's coming off. The filmmakers need to learn a lesson or two still, for the perfect romcom. So, now we are somewhat happy for the female protagonist, like: Good for her. And at the same time, we don't care much about their happiness about the rest of their lives. But the film ends feeling sorry for the one who was in love with her and who is not getting the girl. The one waiting for true love. We deserve a second film with him as the protagonist, where he gets the happiest and the most beautiful life in the world. The two lovers who found each other at the end of this film will probably end up divorcing the following year.
