"Lisey's Story" is Stephen King's favorite book that he has written.
"Lisey's Story" grew out of King's experience of coming home after a long hospital stay, after being hit by a truck and nearly killed in 1999, to find that his wife had redesigned his studio and put all his papers away in boxes, as if he were already dead.
