Brec Bassinger is expanding her genre range to the world of horror-thrillers with The Man in the White Van. Bassinger got her acting start in the world of Nickelodeon, having a recurring role in the supernatural sitcom The Haunted Hathaways and leading the comedy Bella and the Bulldogs. Bassinger stars in The Man in the White Van as Margaret, the older sister to Madison Wolfe's Annie who, as she gets closer to becoming 18, wants to follow in her mom's footsteps to become a prim and formal woman. Other titles that are being deleted from the service include Dave Grohl’s docuseries From Cradle to Stage, Ghislaine: Partner in Crime (the doc from former CBS News president Susan Zirinsky), the LeBron James-produced film Fantasy Football (which was picked up as part of Brian Robbins push for younger-skewing content) and family musical Snow Day.

Paramount+ opened the floodgates to purge content from its streaming platform last week when it removed Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, The Game, Queens of the Universe, and Star Trek: Prodigy.
Deadline reported Monday that all five seasons of Inside Amy Schumer had been banished from the service, with no telling whether the show will return at another destination.
Also removed is Tell Me a Story, which was canceled after two seasons in 2020.
The anthology from Kevin Williamson had previously been leased to The CW to help shore up its schedule during the pandemic.
Blood & Treasure, which began its life as a CBS original before being placed on a multi-year hiatus to return on Paramount+ before being canceled, has also been removed.
The list goes on. Here's the full list of titles no longer available to stream.

Paramount+ has just removed even more series and movies from its service. The relatively young streaming platform originally debuted in 2014 as CBS All Access before rebranding as Paramount+ in 2021. Last week, ahead of its impending merger with Showtime, the streamer canceled four of their original exclusive series - Star Trek: Prodigy, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, The Game, and Queen of the Universe - with plans set to remove them all from streaming entirely.
Today, Deadline reports that Paramount+ is removing 22 more titles from its roster, including many exclusive originals. This includes the series Inside Amy Schumer, From Cradle to Stage, Ghislaine: Partner in Crime, and Kevin Williamson's Tell Me a Story along with the movies Fantasy Football and Snow Day. After a year of questionable decisions from streaming services that involve password sharing, app overhauls, advertisement tiers, removal of content and so on, the bubble is somewhat bursting as companies look to regain profitability through the purging of shows. It was not long ago that news broke about the streaming platform, Paramount+, canceling a number of projects, including Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Game and Queen of the Universe. Not only is the streamer canceling these movies and shows, but they’re removing the titles from the application as well to reap the benefits of a content write-down.
Deadline now reports that more shows have been put on the chopping block over at Paramount+. One of the bigger names that is getting purged is the return of the sketch comedy show Inside Amy Schumer, which had returned to continue its run with a fifth season in six years.

With its list of new releases for November 2021, Netflix will attempt to bravely step into a post-Squid Game world. Helping it in that mission is a diverse array of original series and films.
On the TV side of things, it’s a good month to be animated with both Big Mouth and F is for Family premiering their fifth seasons (on Nov. 5 and Nov. 25 respectively). It’s the live-action version of an animated classic, however, that might be Netflix’s crown jewel this month. Cowboy Bebop premieres on Nov. 19 and based on the first trailer, it will maintain the spirit of the beloved anime. And speaking of big hits, Tiger King 2 is set to arrive on Nov. 17.

Brec Bassinger is definitely one to watch. With the premiere of Stargirl, the 20-year-old actress has taken the titular role and made it her own. The Texas native is best known for her role of unlikely quarterback Bella Dawson on Nickelodeon's Bella and the Bulldogs, though she's also had roles in a handful of other shows including The Goldbergs and The Haunted Hathaways, as well as movies like 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. Both her portrayals of Bella and Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl share the idea that the characters are taking on a role traditionally played by a man.
Stargirl is certainly a more obscure superhero than say Supergirl or Wonder Woman, but she isn't any less heroic. Bassinger expertly portrays the teenage girl who takes on a little more than she can probably handle. After all, how could she have foreseen the ties her stepdad Pat Dugan had to superhero Starman?...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “The Cryptobanker,” the 10th episode of “The Blacklist” Season 6.
Following Coy Stewart’s introduction as the innocent inmate Vontae Jones on the sixth season of NBC’s “The Blacklist,” fans have likened his relationship with Red Reddington (James Spader) to that of Batman and Robin. Had the big jailhouse escape plan featured in the 10th episode, “The Cryptobanker,” actually worked out, it would have been an astute connection.
As it stands those comparisons will have to wait.
In “The Cryptobanker,” Reddington’s trial took an unexpected and speedy turn when the prosecution (led by guest star Ken Leung) pushed to reveal Red’s deal with the task force, endangering his life with the criminals he’s helped to capture, while also putting Liz Keen (Megan Boone) and the rest of the task force at risk. So Red pleaded guilty...

Joel Schumacher’s 1987 teen vampire horror The Lost Boys is an underrated gem. Sure, most of its awesomeness is down to a hugely charismatic young Kiefer Sutherland as the lead vampire, but that’s a casting that goes a seriously long way. It seems like someone at The CW’s as big a fan as I am, too, because they’re currently putting together the cast for a pilot that should herald a full-blooded Lost Boys TV show.
Already, we’ve heard of some exciting additions to the project and today, Deadline’s reporting that Flesh and Bone‘s Sarah Hay, Camping‘s Cheyanne Haynes and Bella and the Bulldogs’ Haley Tju are joining the roster, which so far includes former Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey and Kingdom alum Kiele Sanchez, with Medalion Rahimi (Still Star-Crossed) and Dakota Shapiro (Valley of the Boom) also having key roles. Written by Heather Mitchell and directed by Catherine Hardwicke, The Lost Boys is set in sunny seaside Santa Carla, home to a beautiful boardwalk, all the cotton candy you can eat…and a secret underworld of vampires. After the sudden death of their father, brothers Michael (Posey) and Sam Emerson move to Santa Carla with their mother, Lucy (Sanchez), who hopes to start anew in the town where she grew up. But the brothers soon find themselves being drawn deeper and deeper into the seductive world of Santa Carla’s eternally beautiful and youthful undead.
Hay will portray Mollie.

Not long ago it was announced that DC was developing a series based on the character Stargirl. Today, we’ve learned that actress Brec Bassinger has been cast in the role of Courtney Whitmore a.k.a. Stargirl. Bassinger starred in a Nickelodeon series called Bella and the Bulldogs, which I’ve never even heard of until now. When talking about the casting of Bassinger in the role of Stargirl, producer and creator of the character, Geoff Johns, said:
"There is no other character in comic books more special to me than Stargirl, and after searching far and wide I can say there is no other actor on the planet that embodies her more than Brec Bassinger. Brec's warmth, strength, humor and positive energy are core to who Courtney Whitmore is. I'm so grateful she's signed on for the role.”
