It might come as a surprise that Netflix has never had its own English-language medical drama. Not that those shows are easier to make than any other genre, but there sure have been enough of them on television over the last several decades that Netflix might have made making one a priority. They didn't, but they are now.
Given a network-level budget, Pulse, starring Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell, will debut on Thursday, April 3. There will be a first-time creator, Zoe Robyn, in charge with the help of veteran showrunner, Carlton Cuse. Cuse might be best known for his work on the iconic series Lost.
The plot line involves a hospital in Miami that is beginning to deal with the effects of a hurricane hitting the area. The issue is that there is drama among the doctors. Chief Resident Dr. Xander Phillips, played by Woodell, has been suspended, and third-year resident Dr.

The Dead Thing opens with an extended montage that gives us a look at Alex and the dead-end routine that takes up her waking hours. Her job is a dead-end position that has something to do with layouts and printing and her social life is a stream of one-nighters arraigned via a hookup app named Friktion, a name that’s meant to evoke the feeling of skin on skin, but serves as an omen of the conflict it’s about to bring her way.
Throw in some Uv light therapy and avoiding her roommate Kara and that’s her existence, I say existence, because it seems a bit of a stretch to call it living. For all intents and purposes, she could be the dead thing the title speaks of.

David Arquette will return to the slasher genre in Kill or Be Killed, Deadline reports.
The Scream icon is set to star in the upcoming horror film alongside Alisha Newton (Heartland).
David Straiton will direct from a script by Nick Zigler.
School’s out, and recent grad Dani (Alisha Newton) and her friends are ready for one last summer blowout. But when a senior’s mutilated body is discovered on the high school football field – killed in a disturbingly theatrical fashion – it’s clear that someone is playing by a new set of rules.
A red envelope pinned to the corpse contains a yearbook photo and a chilling directive: “Kill or Be Killed.” As the bodies pile up, Dani and her friends are thrust into a terrifying game, orchestrated by a sick killer, that transcends their small town and soon goes viral.

While Sylvester Stallone is enjoying success on his show Tulsa King, he doesn’t stray too far from movies, but it’s looking more and more like his side hustle nowadays. Stallone was recently featured in Armor, which was a low-budget action thriller that primarily focused on a single location on a bridge. In his review, our Alex Maidy said Armor “is nowhere near mediocre due to formulaic action that cannot even muster enough energy to keep attention on screen.” Plus, there’s talk that Sly received a supposed $3.5 million for a single day’s work. Enter the trailer for Alarum, which flaunts Stallone in the marketing but looks as if he’s carved out the same deal for this film.
Grindstone Entertainment, which resides under Lionsgate, has released the trailer, which stars Scott Eastwood (The Fate of the Furious, Suicide Squad), Sylvester Stallone (Rocky franchise, Creed), Willa Fitzgerald (Strange Darling,...

I have very sad news to report tonight. It has been announced that Tony Todd has died at the age of 69. The legendary actor is best known for his roles in Candyman, Final Destination, Platoon, The Crow, Night of the Living Dead, and his many appearances in the Star Trek franchise. He was a massively talented actor whose incredible baritone voice made every project so much better. This is a huge blow.
Todd’s wife, Fatima, told THR that he died on Wednesday at his home in Marina del Rey after a long illness. New Line Cinema, the studio which produces the Final Destination franchise, wrote on Instagram: “The industry has lost a legend. We have lost a cherished friend. Rest in peace, Tony, -Your Final Destination Family.“

Roger L. Jackson will always have a strong connection to the Scream franchise with his history voicing the slasher icon Ghostface, but he wouldn't have acquired the role without working on one of Tim Burton's movies from the '90s. By the time Scream debuted in 1996, Burton was best known for his work on titles like Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, two Batman movies, and The Nightmare Before Christmas (not as the director). Jackson, on the other hand, had only worked on video games through voice acting, but his career in movies and TV took off after working on a Burton movie.
Aside from voicing the Ghostface, Roger L. Jackson has brought dozens of characters to life through his method of acting. His biggest role outside the realm of horror would be voicing Mojo Dojo in The Powerpuff Girls, including the 2002 movie. As for video games, Jackson has...

Spanning six live-action films, a television series, and even a franchise within a franchise, the “Scream” films have been scaring audiences since 1996.
The franchise was created by Kevin Williamson, who wrote “Scream,” “Scream 2” and “Scream 4.” The first four films were directed by legendary horror master Wes Craven.
Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin took over directing duties on the latest two films (Craven died in 2015) while Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt replaced Williamson as screenwriters. Williamson now makes his “Scream” directorial debut with the upcoming “Scream 7,” which brings Neve Campbell back to the franchise and will open in 2026.

Warning: This article contains detailed spoilers for 2024's Strange Darling. The chronological order of the events of Strange Darling offers insight into the movie's full story as well as the reason it was told out of order. The 2024 serial killer thriller, which was written and directed by Jt Mollner, consists of six chapters and an epilogue presented out of order. This allows the twists and turns to play out with even more of a sense of disorientation and may be one reason the movie has earned a Certified Fresh 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an accolade from Stephen King, who called it a "clever masterpiece" on X.
The Strange Darling cast is led by two stars from different corners of the Scream franchise. While both characters are unnamed throughout the movie and only given generalized names in the opening credits, The Demon is played by Kyle Gallner, who portrayed Ghostface...

Scream: The TV Series' abrupt reboot has been addressed by one of the original stars. The show, which premiered on MTV in 2015, did not feature major story or character overlaps with the movies, featuring a new killer with a different mask and a fresh ensemble cast that included Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, and John Karna during the first two seasons. The delayed season 3, which brought back the Ghostface mask and Roger L. Jackson as the iconic killer's voice, featured an entirely different setting and cast of characters, but Scream season 4 never came to fruition.
Willa Fitzgerald recently sat down for an interview with Perri Nemiroff on Collider Ladies Night while promoting her new serial killer thriller Strange Darling. When asked about the fact that she and her co-stars did not return for Scream season 3, which premiered on VH1 in 2019, she revealed that "I kind of still dont know what happened.

Spoiler Alert: The following story contains details from the plot of Magenta Light Studios’s Strange Darling.
If you’re not familiar with the name Willa Fitzgerald, you will be soon.

Notable credits in that area include Reacher, The Fall of the House of Usher, and Scream: The TV Series. But it’s in Strange Darling, an ingenious, low-budget thriller from rising filmmaker Jt Mollner, that she’s found what should be a star-making role.
Strikingly shot on 35mm by actor-turned-dp Giovanni Ribisi, Strange Darling seemed to come out of nowhere when it hit theaters last Friday, almost a year after its Fantastic Fest premiere. “Do you have any idea the kind of risks a woman like me takes every time she decides to have a little bit of fun?” So says our female protagonist in writer/director Jt Mollner‘s Strange Darling, a film that dares us to question the roles men and women are expected to play. Are women just prudes who don’t love casual sex? Are men just rapist serial killers waiting for their next mark? What exactly are the boundaries of consent? Strange Darling asks these questions, making for a smarter-than-you’d-expect entry into the cat and mouse thriller genre.

Kevin Bacon has been in a good number of horror films over the decades, and he has admitted that he’s drawn to working in the genre because he’s a horror fan himself. Now it has been revealed that he and his wife Kyra Sedgwick are such big fans of the genre that they’re planning to co-direct and star in a horror film – and they’ve cast their daughter Sosie Bacon, who starred in the horror hit Smile, as a co-star!
Variety caught up with Sedgwick to interview her about her role in the Off Broadway play All of Me, and along the way they mentioned that she’s currently developing “a horror film she would star in with Bacon and their adult daughter, Sosie. The couple wants to co-direct the film, though the Directors Guild has other ideas.“
Sedgwick told them, “It’s very hard to get dual directing credit.

Twenty years ago, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s breakout hit The O.C., about a group of teens coming of age in Newport Beach, premiered on Fox. By the time the 27-episode first season aired its finale in the spring of 2004, the show was the highest-rated drama on TV among adults 18 to 34 and had catapulted its stars — whose characters were affectionately known as the “Core Four” — to massive, near-overnight popularity.

Malum is, according to its press release “a bold and expanded reimagining of the 2014 horror cult classic, Last Shift”. Author Michael Farris Smith has penned a nice handful of best-selling books, from The Hand of Strangers and The Fighter to Desperation Road. The latter, an emotionally rich action thriller, arrives in theaters and on demand this month with Smith as screenwriter. The film version is, overall, an effective southern noir thriller with a plot featuring a compelling thematic triangle: revenge, redemption, and justice.
Desperation Road stars Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy), Willa Fitzgerald (Scream: The TV Series), and Oscar winner Mel Gibson (Braveheart). It takes place in a small Mississippi town where the locals know one another and protecting family is key, no matter how far you go to keep your loved ones safe. Or bring justice to them. Ultimately, this movie is about two lost souls — Fitzgerald plays distraught Maben, a single mother running for her life; and Hedlund is Russell, a man who just got out of jail and must start over.

Desperation often leads to violence when someone’s back is against the wall. Humans are animals, and when cornered, they’ll lash out, throwing caution to the win as part of a fight or flight response. In Lionsgate‘s Desperation Road trailer, a mother protects herself against a corrupted officer of the law, leading to gunfire, bewilderment, and a snap decision to flee the scene. Mistakes can catch up to the best of us, and secrets unravel easily when the past comes back to haunt you.

No one can deny the fact that Netflix is a fabulous streaming service, thanks to its massive pool of offerings through various movies and television shows. The majority of the time, it only brings positive news for the fans, such as the development of their favorite video game adaptation or the release of a trailer for an exciting sequel. However, it does bring a certain amount of bad news every month by removing a few TV shows that a large number of its subscribers have yet to watch.
For instance, the streaming giant had to bid farewell to many exciting TV series in August, including Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Crowned Clown, and Search WWW. Following the trend, the streamer has chosen to opt out of a few selected TV shows from streaming any longer starting this September. So, without further ado, here is a list of...

Despite co-starring Jackie Chan and John Cena and costing $80,000,000 Hidden Strike, originally titled Project X-Traction, has sat on a shelf for five years before just now turning up on Netflix. That raises more than a few questions about its quality because you don’t sit on something like that without a reason. Usually a very good reason.
Set sometime in “the near future” a Chinese-owned refinery in Iraq is under attack by unnamed rebel forces. A team of mercenaries under the command of Luo Feng is sent in to evacuate all 498 employees, including his estranged daughter Mei, down the Highway of Death to the safety of Baghdad Green Zone.
Elsewhere, Chris Van Horne an ex-Marine who remained in Iraq after the war needs money to repair the water system for the village he lives in.
