ABC has put in development Completeness, a drama from writer Adam Stein Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan and his Smac Entertainment, director James Griffiths (A Million Little Things) and ABC Studios.
Written by Stein, Completeness is described as This Is Us meets Grey’s Anatomy meets Westworld (without robots). In our increasingly atomized world, a company sets out a shingle to provide its clients with what’s missing in their lives. Whatever you need — a friend, a mother, a grandson, a husband — the Complete Company’s versatile facilitators can become it for you. The resulting relationships are more real than you’d expect, and sometimes way more complicated.
Stein executive produces with Strahan, Constance Schwartz and Thea Mann for Smac Entertainment, and Griffiths, who also is set to direct.

He-man And The Masters Of The Universe is one property to always seems to be hopping around Hollywood. Cut from the same cloth as Transformers, He-man was another 80s cartoon based on a toy line that's placed a real heavy stamp on pop culture, for better or worse. Last year, we reported that Christopher Yost, one of the screenwriters for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok film, was penning the script to the Masters Of The Universe film, and now, several months later, it looks like we have a potential director in the works.
According to Deadline, Terminator Salvation director McG is currently in talks with Sony Pictures, Escape Artists, and Franklin Entertainment to take on the film as his next project. Now, of course, the knee-jerk reaction is a bit of a cringe from me. Terminator Salvation was a film that looked amazing in trailer form, but when it came down to the movie itself,...

The best thing I can say about Kevin From Work is that it's awkward. Debuting on ABC Family on August 12, the single-camera comedy created by Barbie Adler is, as my video review above says, little more than a very slight premise and a thin collection of stretched-out jokes and setups. ABC Family borrows from the best in its new single-camera series Kevin From Work. In the cute and clever pilot, Kevin (Noah Reid, Backpackers) accepts an overseas job and crows, “I finally get to leave the worst job in history!” In an act of alcohol-fueled bravado, he pens an admission of love to his office crush, but when the dream job falls through, he has to return to his old job and the fallout of his lovelorn confession. Young Adult literary adaptations have dominated the movie box office for some time now – with titles such as Twilight, The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner all generating their own cinematic franchises. It was inevitable that television would find a way to jump on that gravy train, and ABC Family has ordered their version – Shadowhunters – straight to series, with McG at the helm of the pilot episode.
Shadowhunters is a television spinoff from the 2013 film The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones, which was adapted from the book of the same name by Cassandra Clare. That book is the first of a series of six Young Adult fantasy novels, which itself fits into a larger series of writing, titled The Shadowhunter Chronicles. The series is built around the character of Clarissa “Clary” Fray – a teenager who makes surprising discoveries about her identity and her parentage. Through a sequence of shocking events and revelations,...
