WWE SmackDown! Live commissioner Shane McMahon is battling multiple injuries after a stunt gone wrong.
The 47-year-old longtime wrestling personality found himself in the ring at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Sunday, battling longtime rival Kevin Owens, 33.
While the two exchanged their fair share of headbutts and clothesline dives on the floor and on top of the SmackDown!‘s “Hell in a Cell” cage, all went wrong when McMahon jumped from the top of the structure and down 20 ft. to the ground in an effort to knockout Owens.
Instead it was McMahon who was knocked out cold from the fall,...

It’s time once more for Wrestlemania the biggest professional wrestling and sports entertainment event for fans and performers that there is. This year the event is held in Orlando, the home of Nxt – where a lot of the current roster of superstars got their start -and as usual (at least on paper) the card doesn’t seem that great. But that’s the thing with the WWE’s biggest pay per view, there’s always surprises: especially when it comes to Wrestlemania moments….
We’ve already covered the kick-off pre-show, so onto the main event, hosted by The New Day, who kick off proceedings with a typical New Day promo – only this time they’re dressed like Final Fantasy characters (gotta get that video game sponsorship money right?) Though you have to give it to Big E for the double-entendre, hacker-centric joke about “pulling levers” then staring at Xavier Woods!

Smackdown Live! is in the books for the week. The Blue Brand of the WWE is building up towards the Royal Rumble with their brand specific storylines. We saw the first WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship Cage Match as well as a special edition of The King’s Court with Jerry The King Lawler. How did the show hold up this week?
The show opened with the announcement from Shane McMahon that at the next Smackdown specific Pay Per View event Elimination Chamber, the WWE Championship will be defended by whomever the WWE Champion is at that point. A simple announcement but something the WWE has not been doing consistently as of late, promoting their events properly. We saw Aj Styles come out and complain that he would have to defend his title in the Chamber match with Shane reminding him that he may not have the title after his...

Smackdown Live is in the books. The Blue Brand of the WWE builds toward the Royal Rumble on January 29th, 2017. What is the current state of Smackdown?
In a bad, bad state. This episode saw the WWE bringing Renee Young being brought into a WWE storyline thanks to her off screen romance with Dean Ambrose. While some of the best stories from wrestling’s past have had elements of truth mixed in, I hate the fact they go to that well whenever they want to make something feel edgy. Renee Young is great in her role. I enjoy her role as host of the big event pre shows as well as the host of Talking Smack on the WWE Network. To inject her into a story smacks of desperation. Let Dean Ambrose and The Miz find anything to squabble over anything else. Their love interests should be left out of it,...

All Renee Paquette ever wanted was to be a comedic TV host, like Chelsea Handler, Ellen DeGeneres or Jimmy Fallon. While her career hasn’t gone exactly as planned, the Canadian now known as Renee Young has quite a growing small-screen resume, nonetheless. Young is arguably WWE’s top reporter and the host of “SmackDown Live’s” after-show, “Talking Smack.” And this season, she’ll debut as one of three new cast members on spinoff reality series “Total Divas.” Joining her on the E! show are Lana and Maryse, who are married to WWE Superstars Rusev and The Miz, respectively.
