Harry Hill's career has taken many turns. From quietly funny stuff that was hidden away on channel 4 to more mainstream success on ITV through the hugely popular 'TV Burp'. He was everywhere for a time, and even had an X Factor spoof musical in the West End...briefly.
His latest move to Sky with this show is an odd turn. For one thing, lots of people won't see it, limiting your appeal/audience for a start. It's odd also that he's lumbered himself with this odd and dated format, which yes, allows for silliness, but is lacking on big laughs.
The guests play the stooges (in a sort of Morecambe and Wise way) but this show has a distinct air of being one where those involved are having a better time than the audience watching it.
I don't think this will be as big a hit as 'TV Burp'.
