It’s a strange day when Gypsy Rose Blanchard misses her mom.
Early this summer, news of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s pregnancy caused mixed reactions among her supporters.
Some fear that she is making a mistake — or several mistakes. And others are just happy that she’s finally getting to make her own choices after losing her entire life to an abusive mother and then to an unjust legal system.
Ms. Rose Blanchard has other things on her mind. Including sorrow that, of all people, her dead mother won’t be around.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has opened up about her hit Lifetime docuseries The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, saying it was “the way that my story should have been told all along.” Blanchard was released from prison in December after serving seven years of her 10-year sentence for her part in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. For years, Dee Dee convinced people her daughter was terminally ill with the mind of a 7-year-old and suffered from various ailments and illnesses, including muscular dystrophy and leukemia. The Lifetime docuseries premiered on January 5 and featured unprecedented access to Blanchard before her release. Throughout the series, Blanchard shared her story of horrific abuse, being the victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, her mother’s murder, and her life behind bars. “I’m happy with the way that it came across,” Gypsy said during Deadline‘s Contenders Television: Documentary + Unscripted event.

Sports films are a bit of a rarity in South Korean cinema, which is surprising, because whenever they do release, they tend to do well at the box office. Ladies Football (or soccer) films are even rarer, and not just in Korea. Director Bae Hyo-ming joins the two for his debut “The Shooting Girls”.

The last time Kim Rae-won was seen in a romantic film was way back in 2003 with “My Little Bride”. For Gong Hyo-jin, though she reigns supreme on the genre on television, her last romantic outing in a film was in 2013 with “You are More than Beautiful”, having concentrated on building a completely opposite image of herself on-screen than the one she is loved for in television dramas. The project that finally makes the two stars return to the genre is director Kim Han-gyul’s debut film “The Most Ordinary Romance”.
