The Jurassic Park / Jurassic World franchise is continuing – and it’s doing so without any of the leads from the previous movies. The new film in the series is aiming for a July 2, 2025 theatrical release, and when it reaches the screen, it will be introducing us to a new batch of characters. Those played by Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern are out, as are the ones played by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. So far, we’ve heard that the new Jurassic World movie is set to star Mahershala Ali (Green Book), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton), Rupert Friend (Anatomy of a Scandal), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer), and a bunch of hungry dinosaurs. Now Deadline reveals that the cast is being rounded out with the addition of Luna Blaise.

Blaise is best known for playing Olive Stone on 62 episodes of the TV series Manifest.

Exclusive: Luna Blaise is set to round out cast of Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s new Jurassic World movie. Scarlett Johansson, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey and Rupert Friend are also set to star. Gareth Edwards will direct.

The studio recently dated the pic to bow on July 2, 2025 and moved fast to find a director in Edwards. The new movie will be a fresh take, with Jurassic World cast members Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard not expected to return, and neither will original trilogy’s stars Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill. David Koepp penned the new script.

The film will be will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin, and Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley through Kennedy-Marshall. EVP Production Development Sara Scott and Creative Executive of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee for the studio.

The new feature "Deltopia", directed by Michael Easterling and Jaala Ruffman, stars Madison Pettis, Will Peltz, Sheila Shah, Charlie Gillespie, Luna Blaise, Easterling and Ruffman, will be released Augiust 29, 2023 on VOD:

Originally known as Floatopia, Deltopia is a big party started in 2004 which takes place annually in Isla Vista, CA. Grandave Intl. has acquired worldwide sales rights to action thriller feature “Joe Baby,” Tamara Nagahiro, Grandave Intl. head of sales, announced Tuesday.

The film stars Dichen Lachman, Willa Fitzgerald, Academy Award nominated actor Harvey Keitel, two-time Primetime Emmy Awards nominated and Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman, Kelly Hu, Jason London, and Kenneth Choi.

The title, currently in post-production, will be introduced to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin, which starts on Thursday.

Directed by Steven Brand (“He’s Watching”), known for his acting role in “Scorpion King,” “Joe Baby” is an adapted screenplay written by Todd Samovitz (“Wonderland”) based on the novel “Joe Baby” by Drew Fine.

The film is produced by David Lipper and Robert A. Daly Jr. under their Latigo Films Banner, Jeff Rice, Stephen Endelmen, and Steven Brand, with executive producer Brian Niranjan Sheth (“Motherless Brooklyn”).

Grandave Intl. has acquired the international sales rights of dramatic feature “Deltopia,” executive produced by the late Olivia Newton-John, Tamara Nagahiro, Grandave Intl. head of sales, announced Sunday. CAA Film Finance and XYZ are handling U.S. rights.

Newton-John, whose best known movie performances included “Grease,” “Xanadu” and “Two of a Kind,” was a four times Grammy Award winning singer, and Golden Globe nominated actress. She died on Aug. 8 in California.

Exclusive: Ryan Phillippe (The Locksmith) has signed on for a key role opposite Bella Thorne in Mitzi Peirone’s thriller Saint Clare, based on Don Roff’s hit novel Clare at 16. Rebecca De Mornay (Lucifer), Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction), Bart Johnson (High School Musical) and Dylan Flashner (The Card Counter) will co-star in the film, which Screen Media has slated for release in North American theaters in 2023.

Saint Clare follows Clare Bleecker (Thorne), a quiet catholic college student with a divine vocation for killing. Phillippe will play the role of Timmons, a police officer investigating the latest murder in the small town, with Clare as his prime suspect. Exclusive: Will Peltz (Unfriended), Sarah Dumont (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse) and Sydelle Noel (Glow) have signed on to star alongside Frank Grillo, Jaime King, Katherine Hughes and Josh Plasse in the horror-thriller Man’s Son, with Voltage Pictures coming aboard to launch international sales ahead of the upcoming Marché du Film.

The XYZ Films title from director Remy Grillo centers on a young couple (Hughes and Plasse) hoping to create an aesthetically pleasing audition tape for an up-and-coming Charles Manson film. When they choose an eclectic desert Airbnb as the perfect backdrop, the dark events of the audition material slowly slip into their reality, until they find themselves intertwined in an occult, sinister plot led by King and Grillo’s characters.

Plasse and Brev Moss wrote the script, which is inspired by modern occult activity in the California desert, with production to kick off in Yucca Valley, California this month.

The movie takes place over a period of 24 hours as a group of friends from Southern California finish their last day of high school and travel to Santa Barbara for “Deltopia,” the biggest party of their lives.

The film is loosely based on real events from the actual Deltopia, the annual unsanctioned street party held each spring in Isla Vista, Santa Barbara. In 2014, authorities arrested around 100 party-goers when the large event turned violent after one of the revellers was detained by police.
