Bob and Jeanne Berney’s Picturehouse will open Marco Pontecorvo’s Fatima in theaters and direct to home (PVOD) throughout North America on Aug. 28.
The pic was last scheduled for an Aug. 14, 1,000-theater-plus run. The distributor has been having sold out pop-up drive-in previews recently as part of their grassroots word-of-mouth digital marketing campaign.
Picturehouse picked up the movie in October. The movie was first scheduled for April 24 before the exhibition Covid-19 shutdown. The movie is set during the Spanish Flu, and has echoes to what’s going on now.

Some of the most beloved shows in TV history feature members of the military. You might remember Hawkeye Pierce and Radar O’Reilly from “M*A*S*H,” the breakout star of the “Andy Griffith Show,” Gomer Pyle, whose spinoff “Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.” ran for five years.
Mr. T shot to fame in the early ’80s by playing a veteran in “The A-Team as B.A. Baracus. Younger audiences may remember seeing pop-star Jesse McCartney in the final season of “Army Wives” — and fans of “The Office” can catch one of John Krasinski’s latest roles as the title character in “Jack Ryan.”
With Veteran’s Day taking place this Monday, here’s a list of military-themed TV shows to binge to in honor of our veterans.
“Hogan’s Heroes”
This sitcom aired from 1965 from 1971, and was set in a German Prisoner of War (Pow) camp in WWII. It followed Colonel Robert E.

Deke’s nose for the “little things” proves eerily accurate, but his willingness to circumvent the rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma. Meanwhile, Deke must wrestle with a dark secret from his past.
Kim will portray a rookie cop, while Leto will portray the serial killer on the loose. The film is currently in production.

A fourth candidate for the Writers Guild of America West’s board has dropped out of the race in order to support the guild’s hardline stance on Hollywood agents.
Joshua Hale Fialkov made the announcement Friday, three days after Rob Forman, Ed Herro and Chris Roessner all announced they had withdrawn from the contest for the same reason. The four dropouts mean that there are now 17 candidates for eight open board seats in a contest that’s viewed as a referendum on the WGA’s hard-nosed approach. Election results will be announced on Sept. 16.
Craig Mazin dropped out of the election last week as a vice presidential candidate due to concerns over a family member’s health. Mazin was a running mate with Phyllis Nagy, who is challenging WGA West president David Goodman on a platform that the WGA needs to get back to the bargaining table after six weeks of staying away.

And that's a wrap.
The Code, which just concluded its freshman season on CBS, has been canceled.
The midseason hiatus should have been a clue, but darn it, we enjoyed that!
The Code was a unique take on the military and the law, offering fans of both genres something to dig into.
It followed some of the greatest military's brightest legal minds while they practiced law and also highlighted their personal lives.
The marines were trained to fight on all sides of the law -- as investigators, prosecutors and defense attorneys.
Dana Delaney took to Twitter this afternoon to share her farewell.
Thank you to all you wonderful people who watched @TheCodeCBS. Last night was our finale and sadly, no more. I’ll never make General. But I loved this cast of stellar actors & know we’ll meet again. Semper Fidelis.

CBS in May left undecided the fates of four drama series that premiered in midseason: sophomore Instinct, freshmen The Code and The Red Line and third-year Canadian import Ransom. All but Instinct have now been canceled.
In The Code, written by Limitless creator Craig Sweeny from a story by him and Craig Turk and directed by Marc Webb, the military’s brightest minds take on our country’s toughest challenges – inside the courtroom and out – where each attorney is trained as a prosecutor, a defense lawyer, an investigator, and a Marine.

ABC’s special The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All won Monday in primetime, pushing the network to the top spot in the ratings and viewers for the night. The special, on which contestants spill the beans about what happened on the show (behind the scenes and in front of the camera), hit its best numbers since 2015 with a 1.7 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 6.59 million viewers.
Following the two-hour The Bachelorette, ABC’s drama Grand Hotel continued to waver from week to week since its premiere, last night slipping a tenth in the demo.
On NBC, a two-hour American Ninja Warrior dropped a tenth from last week, as did Dateline at 10 Pm though the latter won its time slot in both metrics.
As for other originals, romance wasn’t in the air for CBS’ Love Island, which fell back a tenth, while The Code held steady in the demo with its season finale. Fox’s music game show Beat Shazam also held its steady note, while So You Think You Can Dance had a tiny misstep from last week
The CW’s Penn & Teller: Fool Us slipped a tenth while the network’s improv game show Whose Line Is It Anyway? went up to a 0.3 rating and 940,000 viewers.
