O.J. Simpson was interviewed for this documentary in his Brentwood, California home six days before
Nicole Brown Simpson and
Ron Goldman were found murdered. Executive producer
Steve Sabol decided to keep him in the documentary, saying, "His 2,003-yard season is one of the most dramatic accomplishments in the history of the game. What O.J. did now and what he did then (as a player) are two separate issues. It wouldn't be right, as an historian of the game, to omit one of the greatest achievements in the sport."
