Ticket to Paradise (2022)
I managed to watch 34 minutes before getting up and leaving...
How do I describe how bad this movie really is?
The fake sets throughout and especially the cgi dolphins are insulting in their cheapness. Nobody even tried to make anything look authentic.
The plot / theme was boring and predictable 50 years ago. Nothing new was added. It is still boring and predictable 50 years later!
I've seen better and more believable acting in a school production.
And I truely hope the people of Bali are not offended by the stereotyping.
This leaves me to ask... HOW DID THIS MOVIE EVER GET RELEASED....!
Don't waste your time, honestly.
I promise you...
you will be disappointed.
Desert Rose (2022)
A true South African drama masterpiece.
What a great series. It captures the essence of what it is trying to portray perfectly. The dryness and the dust and the drama of a dorpie (small town) and plaas (farm) and the familys that try eek out a living there. You root for the Greylings right from the start...regardless of all the trouble they are in and cause. Very authentic. If you have ever been to the region you will appreciate this series even more. The acting is pretty outstanding and the range of characters is vast. The theme song is unique and catchy. Like all good dramas it builds to the climax in the last episode. Very very good. Please please let there be a second season.
Severance (2022)
Brillant, brilliant, BRILLIANT.
Fantastic intriguing story
Sinister setting
Amazing cast
Gripped all the way.
Ben Stiller has produced something really special here.
High hopes for S2.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
What rubbish did I just watch??? 🤔
I watched this movie because if the high ratings it got. Well.... What a load of rubbish!
From starting off fairly normaly it quickly decends into a mess of rubbish and confusion that I can only described as Jackie Chan meets Mr and Mrs Smith in Marvel Multiverse which simply DOES NOT WORK.
Nuff zed.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
So disappointed...
Wow! I am not really sure how this even got approved for viewing. The Madolorian was bad but Boba Fett sinks to new lows. The acting is TERRIBLE, the supporting characters look like are on the wrong set. This is what you get when you put zero effort and cash and zero time into a series. It has zero likeness and adds zero value to the franchise it is supposed to belong to. Somebody should get fired. No, make that plural, people should be fired...!
Uncharted (2022)
Just like every other "B" rated treasure hunt movie
If you plan to watch this movie, be prepared for the:
Same old story line.
Same old characters.
Same old outrageous stunts.
Same poor acting.
Same cheesyness.
Californication (2007)
One of the VERY BEST series EVER.
....don't take my word for it. Watch it and judge for yourself.
I Used to Go Here (2020)
I think something happped. No wait. I was wrong.
A movie in which a few not very interesting things happen and then it just ends at a random point.
The Snowman (2017)
Slow
I read (make that tried to read) a book by the author off whom this movie is based. The movie is at the same pace as the book so be prepared going in.
The Third Day (2020)
I wanted to like it... :(
But in the end all the acid trips and wiating for ages for a clue on what I supposed to be seeing and understanding just ended up not being worth it.
Rogue (2020)
It's worse than you can imagine....
I can't believe this movie made it onto the screen. Everything between the opening title and credits deserves to end up on the editing floor.
Gone (2019)
Could have been a hit.... But missed!
Better actors, better cinematography, a better director and more money may lift this movie into blockbuster status. Maybe there will be a remake? Until then... keep your expectations low if you watch this version.
Just for the Summer (2020)
Sweet and predictable.
A sweet movie with a simple and predictable storyline.
Can You Keep a Secret? (2019)
Bad Budget Movie
Unfortunately there is no chemistry between the actors, the "acting" is virtually non existent and well, the cinematography follows the same trend, terrible!
Inheritance (2020)
Disappointing is not an exaggeration.
Thin and ludacris storyline. No chemistry between the actors. Way too many improbablities.
