A new Alien short.

From the close up scenes it's clearly visible that the budget was low, aliens are never shown moving, always still, a bit clumsy, "just put there" to be photographed between cuts, a bit poorly made, especially the eggs that look like they have been crafted by children at school (some aliens could actually use bracers), "alien aliens" look a bit ridiculous.

Actors are not bad, doing a decent job but nothing special.

Set, WW atmosphere, costumes are good, I liked the yellowish color of the surroundings.

Though I appreciate the effort and the references, "hommage", to Aliens, it is not comparable at all to the shorts that were made for the 40th anniversary. They pass for decent mini-alien movies, this one does not.

Quite an unusual approach towards aliens, I loved the genuine sound effects, also the visual is pretty unusual, the big, mostly flat, barren land with the house in the middle, so lonely and desperate. Reminds me of Shyamalan movies like Signs, a little slow flowing, still pictures, little or no music, no spectacular alien sightings with blood etc. Until towards the end, so it keeps creepy for long. I liked all the actors, Michael Wincott is a pleasent surprise for me. I felt the protagonist's mainly still face is part of the character. I think it's quite a delicacy.

Boring for a drama, ridiculous for a survival movie, full of unreasonable actions in both genre, but most of all: utterly BORING. I could watch a lot of seasons of other shows at one sit but this just made us wish: please die, you unbearable and annoying woman so the show can be over. Even the creators did not suppose there would be some miserable ppl who watch this in binge because they think we forgot that the heroine hadn't eaten or drunk for 4 previous episodes, still going on like a superwoman. You can watch the first episode that has the most action than do yourself a favor and turn it off.
