The Prince of Egypt (1998)
The Prince of Egypt is DreamWorks' "Magnum Opus"
The Prince of Egypt is probably the most beautiful and unique animated movie I've ever seen. I remember watching the film in Christian school in my childhood, and I loved it, I loved all of it. Everything about The Prince of Egypt is incredible, the music, the characters, the songs, the story, the tone, the acting... just everything! It really stands out from basically almost every 2D animated film before or after, there are no talking animal sidekicks, no princess characters, no cheery or whimsical opening song and no furbait characters. I especially love the opening song. Unlike every single opening song in any animated film, which are often cheery, upbeat and whimsical, "Deliver us" is the most intense, darkest and mature opening songs I've ever heard. I really love how DreamWorks wanted to make a more mature and serious animated film to show that they were "playing with the big boys now", and I think they succeeded. It's not only one of my favorite DreamWorks films, but it's also one of my favorite animated movies of all time.
Rimba Racer (2017)
Rimba Racer review
Rimba Racer is probably one of the most intriguing foreign animated series I've ever seen, and I'm surprised it came from Malaysia. It's a very wild, slick, incredibly entertaining series that balances being dramatic and intense, with being ridiculous and funny. It has a great style, likable characters, and an interesting story that speaks for itself. One of my favorite characters from the series is Tamira, because she's like a mixture of Tigress and Shadow the hedgehog. Plus, I always want to see Tag and Tamira shipped together. The animation is good too, but it can go into overdrive during the racing scenes. All I'm saying is that Rimba Racer is so much fun. It has a good scenes of humor, a unique premise, and an atmosphere that's all its own. Every character in this show acts like they're having a ball, and the tone can flip-flop at the right time so much that you have no idea if you're gonna see something cool, funny, dramatic, relatable or all of the above around every corner. It's not often you get to see foreign animation that has a dedicated fanbase, especially for a cartoon series that isn't from Canada, France or Japan for once. If you want to see a narrative driven cartoon that knows how to combine suspense and laughs, and from Malaysia too, Rimba Racer is the show for you.
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! (1989)
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show review
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show was a really nostalgic series I grew up watching, because I am a huge fan of Nintendo. However, this series has mixed reviews and I personally have some issues with it. The live-action segments were not that bad, but I think the cartoon itself has a lot of flaws. I think the narrative of the cartoon had a major identity crisis, because every episode is the same story but in a different setting and scenario. The original Super Mario Bors. Didn't have enough lore or world building, so I think DIC(k) Entertainment had to make something up to make the series more interesting. Like I said, every episode is exactly the same story but in a different setting and scenario. Mario, Luigi, Toad and Princess Toadstool (Princess Peach) going who knows where to stop King Koopa (Bowser), they make cheap pasta jokes, the heroes defeat King Koopa and let him escape, and all's well that ends well, rinse and repeat. It felt like the writers were just throwing ideas at the wall, and seeing what stuck, but I sometimes don't like it when cartoons follow the exact same story every episode, and I think the dialogue and jokes could've been better. Most of the episodes are also movie parodies, and there's nothing wrong with a little satire if it's written perfectly. When I watched Doug Walker's review of it back in 2015, he stated that the series makes no sense and he doesn't know what's going on. Plus, most of the settings in each episode don't really look like anything associated with the Mushroom Kingdom, and Koopa would adapt various and weird personas. I also find it very odd that this series ties-in with a Legend of Zelda animated series. However, I think The Legend of Zelda cartoon would've been better not seeing the light of day, because Link's phrase "Well excuse me princess!" is so irritating. So this series is basically a live-action sitcom, an animated series and another animated series based on a different Nintendo IP Frankensteined together. In conclusion, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show is a hot mess but a good hot mess, and I'm glad that the Mario Bros. Rap was used in The Super Mario Bros. Movie by Illumination.

Inspector Gadget (2015) review
The classic 1983 Inspector Gadget was one of my all-time favorite animated TV shows growing up. However, this revival series from WildBrain is incredibly monotonous and insulting. It focuses too much on childish writing and lacked heart. #1: the titular character, Inspector Gadget, never has any significance in any episode, and feels like he's been reduced to a forgettable side character. #2: the main villain, Dr. Claw, has been reduce to being painfully ignorant, juvenile and less threatening, and acts even more incompetent than his henchmen or nephew combined. #3: Dr. Claw's nephew, Talon, is incredibly arrogant and annoying, and his love/hate rivalry with Penny feels cliched and forced. #4: Gadget's niece Penny, and well as Brain, take up way too much of the spotlight, and act like she's the main character of the series instead of her uncle. #5: Literally every episode is about Dr. Claw doing malicious things for the most boring and juvenile reasons, then Penny and Brain do all the competent work while Gadget does absolutely nothing but saves the day with dumb luck all the time, rinse and repeat. Plus, seasons three and four made me rage quit. #6: The writing also lacks sincerity, opting for shallow, juvenile and contrived plot lines. Plus, any actual humor or character growth has been sacrificed for cheap jokes and outdated cliches. Finally, bizarrely this Canadian series is only available on Netflix in America, but aired reruns on Universal Kids after the show ended in late 2018. So releasing a Canadian cable TV show on an American streaming platform feels pointless. The only positive thing about this reboot is that one of the animators that worked on this show, Alex Henderson, later made one of my favorite independent animated short films on YouTube, The Rhino and the Redbill. So in conclusion, the 2015 Inspector Gadget reboot is incredibly lackluster and disappointing.
Road Rovers (1996)
Road Rovers review
Road Rovers is a very unique but decent show. I never grew up watching it, but when I learned that the creator of Animaniacs, Tom Ruegger, made this it got me interested. I really like the concept and execution of humanoid dog heroes, but it does have some flaws. Personally, it felt slightly mediocre to me, because some of the humor is average and the gags were cheap and overused too much. The Rovers themselves also often feel and act 2D dimensional, stereotypical, and don't have any complex or emotional depth. For example, Blitz is basically a stereotype of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he's also a narcissistic and cowardly dumb jock. However, Colleen is probably one of the best characters in the show, because she reminds me a lot of Bayonetta. Not to mention, this show came at a very late time when animation started to broaden towards more mature audiences like The Prince of Egypt and Cybersix. So in conclusion, Road Rovers is neither bad nor good, it's just... slightly decent and I highly recommend watching it.
