Knox Goes Away (2023)
Totally enjoyed this film
It's been a long time since I have enjoyed a film this much. Keaton is great as always. There was just enough left out of his plan that I didn't see how it was all going to come together until the last of the movie. Watching him deal with spurts of memory loss really hit home as we had to deal with a family member who displayed many of the same symptoms. I was sad that his special lady friend turned out the way she did but happy the other people he leaned on for support didn't turn on him like in so many other films of this type. Trying to be vague to not spoil anything but I enjoyed it from start to finish and loved watching it all come together. Just the right amount of humor for a film dealing this the topics it did.
Animal Control (2023)
I'm hopeful.
Giving it a few episodes to see if it finds it's stride. I'm a big fan of Joe McHale. My only gripe at this point is the portal of an animal control department. Ive never seem a city with more than 1 Animal Control pickup working at the same time. Normally the employees are stoned and you can't get ahold of them for days. In this show. They actually patrol AND respond to calls. It's like the show writers never visited a real animal control office. Lol. Anyway. First episode wasn't terrible. I think it has potential and will definitely give it a few episodes to decide. The supporting cast is pretty good. Fingers crossed.
A Christmas Carol (2018)
A different take, try it and see what ya think
Well. It's a different take which is fine. Ive probably watched 20 different versions this season. The problem with this version is. The production. Very odd. I hate to use the example. But if you have seen an 80's porno film. It has that feel and production value and a dare say porno music. The main actor is kinda terrible. Like a bad version of Chris Hemsworth. It could so much more. It's a modern take. Give it a shot. Currently on Peacock. Maybe others. The story is changed quite a bit. For example. Scrooges uncle comes to invite his newphew to dinner. Bob is scrooges female assistant. Tim is Bobs husband.
The 355 (2022)
Better than I expected
I expected to hate it but couldn't find another movie to see with my wife. It was better than I expected. Over the top sometimes but most action flicks are. We both ended up really enjoying it and it is definitely set up for a sequel.
Hamburger: The Motion Picture (1986)
Great movie
Easily the best movie ever about going to a college to learn how to run a burger joint ever.
It's not Shakespeare and isn't meant to be. Just good fun 80's humor. Glad I have it on dvd since you can't find it anymore.
Welcome to Marwen (2018)
First disappointing movie from Steve
I really wanted to like this movie as Carell is one of my favorite actors. But it was awful. It was almost like they wanted to play the middle and not make the character gay (which would have made the story make way more sense) and have him in this middle of the road not gay but likes wearing woman's shoes to appeal to the straight crowd too. I think it would have appealed to both groups if they would have strayed from the story a bit for the sake of the story. I realize it was based on true events, but it was hard to relate.
Rob Riggle's Ski Master Academy (2018)
I love this show.
It's funny and goofy and good fun. Rob is great, feels like and 80's comedy.
The Upside (2017)
Surprised!
Saw this tonight with my wife and son. It was a great movie. Probably the best I have seen in long time. It was cool to see Kevin Hart not being Kevin Hart, this is the first time I've ever seen him play a regular character. Funny moments yes, but not your normal Kevin. Laughs, some tears and it ends on a positive note. Ignore the overly critical people on this one and just enjoy.

Supergirl (2015)
Going downhill
Really liked it in the beginning. Now every episode has to be political and that just makes it not fun. Shows are an escape, if I wanted politics and social justice bs I can watch the news.
