Cowboy Bebop was one of the first anime I every watching back in the early 2000s, the characters, plot, setting, and especially the music just blew me away with what could be done with a "cartoon".
From the mature themes to the kick ass fight scenes this series has always been one of my favorites, so when I finally watched the movie after finishing the show I was happy to see that the creators and writers had not lost a beat since ending the TV show. It was great to see the main antagonist be a interesting but terrifying foe for our main heroes to battle wits against, and made this tone of the movie more of a thriller than the show usually is, but I loved how it kept me on my toes for what could happen next.
This movie can be watched without seeing the original show, but I still highly recommend watching the series first and then watching this movie!
