Very silly film.
Everything just magically works out after each fight scene. The sort of magical happenstance reminds me of Birds of Prey (where Harley Quinn's character also seems to luck out of bad situations).
There's little to no character development until it's too late, we're asked to "care about" these characters but we barely know them-they provide nothing about their motivations beyond the obvious.
The over-arching plot was weak making the whole film a little fruitless. The stakes just never felt "at risk".

If you've ever watched Rick and Mortys Heist Parody episode (S4, E3) then you've basically watched Red Notice. It's filled with the same tropes as every movie before it. What's even more disappointing is that the stakes feel weaker than it's predecessors; heavy plot armor and poorly written motives.
Also, all three actors play previous characters from other films; Gadot-Wonder Woman, Reynolds-Deadpool, Johnson-Jumangi. While their names and backstories are different their personalities on screen are one in the same.
Overall this movie is just super meh.

I loved the first Wonder Woman movie! So much so I bought the DVD. It was fun and action packed with REAL stakes in the plot. There was growth in the characters and you really felt like you knew them.
Now, this movie is the opposite of the first one. I let tries desperately hard to be fun. It keeps trying to land the zingers but they have no air. There's no stakes; at no point did I ever feel anything that was happening had any real significance. There no character development; same characters from the first movie so the development is stagnant from that story. Overall it took me three weeks to finish this movie (I can't not finish a movie) so I broke it up into manageable bite sized snips before I got frustrated and shut it off.
