I really enjoyed this movie! I was skeptical based on other negative reviews but l laughed out loud throughout. I grew up in the 60's and 70's and probably why I got such a kick out of this movie. I think if your of a certain age and remember Saturday morning cartoons with all the cereal ads you'll enjoy this . It was a fun trip down memory lane for me. I also really enjoyed the references to current events of the time and so many fun cameos.....John Hamm, Dan Levy, they made me laugh out loud. All of the cereal mascots were a hoot! As a side note, I recently watched the food that built America episode about Post and Kellogg's race to create the infamous toaster pastry, so that helped with context as I enjoyed this film.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series but I feel like the finale didn't wrap it up. Maybe they're gearing up for a second season? That would make sense; we'll see. I've so enjoyed the story, sets, costumes, characters, etc. Definitely worth a watch. It almost seems like a Ryan Murphy project. Maybe Ryan Murphy can pitch in for a season 2? The cinematography was beautiful and the costumes, sets, props (love the wall sconces), were beautiful! The unfolding mystery/backgrounds of the key players was so fun....that's why the finale made me wanting more. Hopefully we'll see a season 2! Too many unanswered questions.
I have truly enjoyed this series, but felt like the last episode did not wrap things up. So many unanswered questions. I wish there were one more to give a true conclusion.
