Found Footage of Fear: Digital Terror (2022)
Hard to watch but Not bad
Found Footage Of Fear: Digital Terror utilizes a ghostly presence to account for the few supernatural elements. But mainly, the film is scary because of who the main character is Darryl. The plot is rather bare-bones, as the writers, director Mason-Bell and lead actor Mills, are much more interested in observing what makes a doxing misogynist tick and watching him unravel than rushing through a plot for the sake of it. Mills wonderfully brings the scumbag protagonist to life, as he sells the mental break well. Wallace stuns as Nat, bringing an empathetic nature to the events, as she seems to truly love Darryll. Spencer Craig is all high energy and boisterous as the best friend, perfectly aligning with the role's more unflattering traits.
Amityville Thanksgiving (2022)
One of my favourite horror movies
This is my favourite guilt pleasure. Will Collazo and Julie Anne Prescott brings you Amityville Thanksgiving. An original horror film with twists and turns that keeps things fresh and interesting. Loved the performances from the lead actors and I hear there's now a sequel! Amityville Turkey Day! Mark C Fullhardt knocks it straight out of the park as the very sinister couples therapist Frank Demonico (speedy recovery Mark) There isn't much to do with the actual Amityville house so if you're a huge fan then this might be a disappointment to you. This is a film that should be studied in film schools.
Rose Blood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film (2021)
Not at all good
I'm afraid this one wasn't the vibe at all. For a F13 fan film, it makes basically no effort to capture the feel of a F13 movie.
Visually, it looks good at first. But don't look too hard because then you start to notice that it all takes place in the same couple of rooms that are supposed to be the Camp Crystal Lake Reaearch Facility, which is a nod to Jason X, except there's no Crystal Lake and not even a tree in sight the entire time. I'm absolutely not knocking the budget restrictions, but even Jason X managed to work in a "camp in the woods" scene amiright?
It's supposed to be a direct sequel to part 7, which is my favorite one, but the first half of the movie was just about the character of Tina living at the research facility with another girl with special powers and I just didn't care. It's not until AN HOUR in that Jason even shows up.
