Fire Country: I Know It Feels Impossible (2023)
Can I give a zero??
What was that ??? By far one of the worst season finales in tv history. That has to be one of the least plausible conclusions to a story line ever. It made absolutely no sense-no one who is minutes away from meeting with a parole board would ever talk to an investigator without having their lawyer present. Also the investigator would not be able to leverage another inmates case that has already shown that person to be innocent as blackmail. Who ever the writer was that came up with this absurd story should stay on strike for life it was also incredibly far fetched that someone who asked to be drug tested would fail that test days before their hearing.
Blonde (2022)
Not in this case...
Sometimes a director really is that smart, the way the film is shot, the images, cinematography, etc-its stunning and adds so much to the story. Unfortunately this is not the case. Anyone that uses or feels the need for 4 or 5 different aspect ratios is basically an A-Hole. If you think you're the most intelligent person in the room, most likely you are wrong. This was so slow, and miserable, what's really aggravating is it's not a true story so the producers had cart Blanche to take the narrative anywhere. Who thought this would be good. Ana de Armis was great, talk about wasting a solid performance-for your own sanity don't waste almost 3 hours of your life !!
Moonhaven (2022)
Definitely not a 1 ???
Should you even be able to give a review if you only watch 5 minutes? The amount of 1 & 2's from people who don't even watch and actually hate sci fi sorta affects the overall rating. It's not Blade Runner but it's nowhere near this low of a rating.
The Gray Man (2022)
Too much Fast & Furious not enough Jason Bourne
For a Netflix movie it was decent. I really think they could of made. A better film and actually spent less than the estimated 200 million it cost. Would of been better as a true spy thriller with less explosions and car crashes. Also don't understand the PG-13 rating, just make it R rated, it's on Netflix, no worries with a theatrical release.
Bill Burr: Live at Red Rocks (2022)
Solid set by Bill
Not his best special but still much better than most. Not every subject is completely PC but that's why he always gives you a solid performance. Need comedians to get close to that "line" What's great is he finishes really strong.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
The ratings, seriously...
The same people who are upset that there are too many 10's in the ratings are the same ones scoring 2's & 3's. Maybe you should need to pass an IQ test in order to leave a rating. You have some adults who watched the original Star Wars when they were 8 all pissed off that this show is geared towards kids!! The Irony-WTF ? Here's another thought, maybe watch more than 6 minutes of episode 1 before saying "this is terrible, I'm giving it a 2"
Before We Die (2021)
Seriously, c'mon...
Who drops a laptop while running away, it's not like he was carrying a dead body. Also, who would let their son come under fire from multiple gunman just assuming he will be ok ??? Really asinine at times.
Killing Eve: Hello, Losers (2022)
My rating is Zero
What you have here and the higher ups, show runner, etc. Saying "our fans are so loyal we can give them the worst ending in TV series history and they'll take it" obviously they didn't care, there were no answers, lazing writing and minimal effort. Beyond awful, a complete embarrassment.
The Rookie: Real Crime (2022)
2nd time they ruined an episode...
What's with the camera in camera footage? They did a prior episode like this were all the footage was shown via "body cam" -this one was all shot as a show within a show. Please get back to basics -this was horrendous.
F9 (2021)
Just pretend it's a comedy...
Wow! The stunts that are done in the
franchise make video games look tame. I guess when you're at #9 and you try to one up the last film you run out of ideas.
God's Not Dead (2014)
Over 200 1's and Over 200 10's ???
I'm sensing some reviewers had an agenda. The movie obviously isn't a 10 but it's also not a 1. My first thought is how there's this over the top Preachy message about God & Faith. I want to laugh at and criticize the producers, director etc. However it's not any different than 90% of the Hollywood "Wokeness" that's now in every single thing on tv and in theaters.
The 355 (2022)
Well, at least the cast was solid...
I didn't think it was possible to make the film worse by having a big budget. They added every cliche imaginable and really dragged this out. It's way too long but if you're looking for a mindless 2 plus hour action flick this is for you.
Old Henry (2021)
Enjoyable flick
Even if you're not a big Western fan this is worth the watch. Most movies don't have that surprise ending with a payoff. It's obviously fiction and having only about 90 minutes of screen time it all works.
Kimi (2022)
Decent 90 minutes
Moves rather quickly and has a satisfying ending. Soderbergh's style is very efficient although his music score isn't for everyone. Overall it's mindless entertainment that's pretty straight forward.
The Unforgivable (2021)
Decent watch
Overall acting was solid, decent story. My biggest issue is how unrealistic her circumstances were. If she was a killer of law enforcement and living in Seattle wouldn't she be celebrated?? Maybe become mayor or even governor??? She definitely would of have wonderful job prospects at least...
The Tower (2021)
We live in the world of -Gray
The outcome was better than I expected, the lead DI was doing her job at all costs, just trying to get to the truth, no matter the consequences. Her partner did the right thing by intervening, people are human and make mistakes-no one should be judge in their worst day.
Star Trek: Discovery: Choose to Live (2021)
Glad I'm not alone
A 5 is a generous score. Each season is getting more PC than the next. "Woke Trek" is becoming more difficult to watch which each episode. We understand, it's the future and we have evolved. Most of us watch these shows to escape this rhetoric and constant lesson on diversity. Can't wait for the next exercise on the Star Trek-Inclusion.
Invasion (2021)
I swear, I'm really trying...
The whole planet is under attack and 4 episodes in we get marriage problems, school bullies and more boring back stories?? I understand some character development but this is basically just a very slow drama. Are there any aliens??? Can I get a picture of an entire space ship ?? Something??? I pray there's a payoff...
Cross Wars (2017)
An actual 2 for a change !
One of my biggest issues is how poorly the scoring can on these reviews. So many times a decent movie is a legit 6 and worth a watch but the rating is off due to someone who has no business rating anything. They don't like the genre or one of the actors and they'll give it a 1 or a 2. Same with the friends of the film that tell you it's an underrated "Citizen Kane" and it's a 9 or 10. Please just stop scoring anymore-however this is a legit 1. Sit back and Embrace the Suck. OMG !
FBI: Most Wanted: Patriots (2021)
One sided is ok just don't be lazy
Everyone knows there are bad people on both sides politically. The problem is there is a zero percentage chance the writers would ever have the FBI tracking down rioters from a liberal city were some protest have gone on daily. The issue is every criminal now is a right wing and white or when it's international their Russian-be better.
FBI: Hacktivist (2021)
Good episode but...
Does every writer in the industry work from the same Starbucks? This is the 3rd show, on different networks this fall, it's still September BTW that's had a "Ransom attack" on a hospital episode. Can we get a little more creative-last year every villain was a straight white male, right wing extremist or the Russians. Be better.
Elizabeth Is Missing (2019)
Incredible acting, tough subject
I wasn't too excited about the subject matter. Anyone who's dealt with a parent in decline knows how devastating it can be. That being said Glenda's acting was unbelievable, if this wasn't a TV movie she may of had her 3rd Oscar.
Goliath (2016)
Good series but....
So the first season was incredible and I was looking forward to the second. That was going well also until the last couple episodes, concluding with a horrendous finale. Thankfully season 3 was back to basics and it was a solid story. Now it's the final season and I'm hoping it goes well but through episode 2 I'm getting multiple dream sequences and the main villain is doing a musical. I'm praying this ends well but I'm not too optimistic...
Scenes from a Marriage (2021)
People like this....
If you ever wonder why we are divided as a county just watch the first episode. People like this actually exist and only travel in their own circle. They way they communicate, how they speak and what they feel is important is baffling to the average American. The acting is very good but I 100% can't and wouldn't want to be alone with these people.
Malignant (2021)
Original and entertaining
Horror isn't even my favorite genre buy you have to give Wan credit for originality. This was definitely way over the top but if you have an open mind you'll be entertained. There are far more terrible movies you could watch, just shut off your brain and enjoy.
