Halo 2 (2004)
Best Video Game of All Time
I mean what isn't there to enjoy? The story is nothing short of remarkable and gripping (especially with the anniversary graphics), the gameplay is super fun, the campaign is extremely challenging, which makes it satisfying to complete each level. They add a ton of stuff from the first halo to this one, such as brutes, dual wielding weapons, hijacking vehicles, etc. It is in my opinion, the best video game of all time.
Halo Infinite (2021)
Very fun, not a great story
My review mostly centers around the campaign.
In terms of the campaign, it's a super fun, worthwhile game. It's challenging enough to where you have to be strategic. There's also lots of new abilities such as the grapple, dodge, etc. That spice it up and make it feel like a more modern game while still giving you the classic halo experience. I also very much like that at the end of each mission there is a boss fight which is challenging and very satisfying to complete.
In terms of the story, it's not very good. In this sense, it's more your classic video game story with cheesy dialogue, bad guys trash talking, etc.
Even though the story isn't very good, they got the most important thing right, which is making a fun, satisfying gaming experience. I highly recommend it.
Isa pa, with feelings (2019)
Wonderful idea
It's a beautiful movie, I truly loved it. As someone who has spent time in the Philippines, the Filipino lifestyle and Tagalog is very near and dear to me.
But aside from that, I think the general idea of the movie is a fantastic idea. It's a very cute feel good movie. Not a whole ton of complaints.
I could knit pick, but it's very good and deserves all the support it can get.
Ojing-eo geim: VIPS (2021)
It's bad, it's real bad.
Where to begin. This is simply a bad episode. I just hope the rest of the episodes don't go this poorly. The Americans come in and are all terrible, the show becomes cheesy in this episode and there's no real content to it except for violence and swearing.
Please please please don't let the rest of the show be like this.
Ojing-eo geim: Ji-ok (2021)
Not Filler
Many people say this episode is filler, they couldn't be more wrong.
This episode brilliantly displays the cold and harsh reality that the characters live in, which ultimately is not far different than the squid game.
It was far more ethical for the characters to have made the decision to stop the games then come back rather than force everyone in the group to partake of the games against their free will.
In my eyes, this episode is even stronger than the first, even though it's not as action packed.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Low Expectations, Pleasantly Surprised
It's not as good as the first one I'll start with that, but it's certainly decent. It was worth the time. The opening sequence is absolutely great, and the rest of the movie is enjoyable, certainly not a perfect movie, but it's good. Not a must see movie, but one that's worth the time when you have it.
Malcolm in the Middle (2000)
Hilarious
Such a great comedy, coming from a house with 4 younger brothers, the comedy is so relatable.
Better Call Saul (2015)
A different feel than B.B., but equally good quality.
Breaking Bad is more dark, more intense, and has more iconic scenes that can't be forgotten, but don't let that fool you into thinking Better Call Saul is a downgrade. In terms of quality, they've managed to keep Better Call Saul to the same standards as breaking bad. If you watched breaking bad because of its intensity and action, maybe you'll find better call Saul disappointing, if you loved breaking bad for the quality of the show, for the acting, the character development and beautifully told story, you'll probably like Better Call Saul. This show is executed to the same level as Breaking Bad.
El Camino (2019)
Needed closure
It's a little predictable, yes. What you think and hope happens does indeed happen. It's also not entirely necessary because of this, but in hindsight it is very nice to have some closure on the end of Jesse's story. He's such an important and loved character in the breaking bad universe so it is good to get a true ending for his story. Anyone who has watched breaking bad should watch this. I wouldn't hound somebody to watch this like I'd hound somebody to watch breaking bad, but if you have watched breaking bad, I highly recommend watching this movie.
The Good Place: Whenever You're Ready (2020)
Great Ending to a Great Show
This is probably the best ending to a show since Breaking Bad. I'll leave it at that.
