In the IMDb reviews for the film, "Cop Target" has been described as a 'slow, boring, poorly paced action film with no action.' I'm pretty sure the reviewers did not watch the film.

From start to finish, "Cop Target" was a fun fast-paced action film directed by Umberto Lenzi and starring Robert Ginty and Charles Napier.

Like all low-budget films (especially Italian ones) there is some cheesy dialogue and over-the-top acting. But "Cop Target" was not riddled with it (though, we could have done without the "automatic cat feeding machine" segment). Majority of the film has great (evenly spaced) action, decent dialogue and acting. Ginty really acts his heart out and does a great job. Next to "The Exterminator", Ginty gives one of his best performances in an action film. He plays a tough cop with humor and heart very well. However, Charles Napier (who is very much welcome in the film) could have had a better role (but, he wasn't TOO wasted). It was great to see him star with Ginty in a film.

If your a fan of low-budget action, Italian crime, and Robert Ginty...don't miss this one! I own a lot of Ginty's films and "Cop Target" is definitely one of his best and is one of my favorite Ginty films. Revok.com has DVD copies in widescreen but contains small Japanese subs (they are easy to ignore). 7/10

"Caboblanco" is a nice and rare treat for any Bronson/Robards/Thompson fan. Don't believe what every review says. There are only a few movies where Bronson puts down the gun and turns up his acting charm. Throughout out the 80s, he starred in a huge bunch of Cannon Popcorn-Actioners. They where just mindless and fun comic book thrillers. "Caboblanco" is one of the few Bronson suspense films where he gives an all-star performance. He doesn't need to be in an action film to give a solid performance. His scenes with Dominique Sanda are a joy and fun to watch and his scenes with Robards the greatest in the film.

Like any good movie, it did have it's flaws. "Caboblanco" has been labeled as an action film and a "remake" of "Casablanca." I highly disagree with both. It's more of a suspense/drama. The plot was a little boring and some scenes are just that. Of coarse, it's not a real Bronson movie without some violence, so there are a few action scenes placed nicely in the film. He throws quite a few punches and handles a gun here and there. But like I said earlier, it's not about the action in this movie. There are a few DVD copies on the net, so if your a hardcore Bronson/Robards/Thompson fan, I recommend you check this out. Although, there are a few boring scenes, it's a well made suspense/drama with a great cast. Scenes with Bronson and Robards are the best if the film! They make a great team. 10/10

People are quick to say "The Dead Pool" is the worst in the series. It has always been a favorite of mine. This film features a terrific but odd cast. I doesn't have the "Eastwood Regulars" that are in other Malpaso films. There is Liam Neeson as a horror film director and Jim Carrey as a drug addicted rock star.

One of the best things about this film is Patricia Clarkson. Her character and her acting made the film a joy to watch. Another thing great about the film is the new mellower side of Dirty Harry. Clint does things that Dirty Harry would do as well as giving us a gentle side.

Finally, there is Lalo Schifrin's music. People also complain because of the cheesy synth main theme...but that's it. Even thought I loved the theme, the rest of the score is classic Schifrin. Much like a 1950's film noir.

If you haven't yet seen this Dirty Harry, give it a shot. It does have a cartoonish feel and comic book characters, but it's Dirty Harry with a lot of new elements to the franchise. A great way to end the Dirty Harry series.
