Life After the Navigator (2020)
Such a beautiful soul
Joey is a truly soulful individual and after you see this you just root for him. The guy has a drug problem but he is stronger than a majority of the people you know. Go Joey!! Next time i hear your name I hope it is you doing a movie or something that makes you happy.
Dancing with the Stars (2005)
Tyra is back???
Great job ABC you kept the arrogant, smug, self-serving, narcissistic, egotistical, supercilious stain.
Nova: Hindenburg: The New Evidence (2021)
Annoying narrator
The episode was okay at a 6 but the narrator was difficult to listen to.
CBS News Sunday Morning (1979)
No longer watchable
Gone too woke. I used to watch this every week for almost 10 years. I guess I lasted longer than most of the other reviewers.
All segments try to slant a diversity, woke, or liberal viewpoint. This year I was luck to see one watchable segment. Now it's off my PVR schedule. Sad.
Bridgerton (2020)
7.4 out of 10, no way.
Just look at the actual written reviews and it's 1, 2, or 3 out of 10.
Yet another show with a paid campaign. By the time you read this I am sure this score will drop.
Sh'at Neila (2020)
I wanted to like this
The characters are just not likeable; especially Avinoam and the tank commander. The decent characters are overshadowed by the puking, crying, and quivering one. I dont understand why a show produced in Israel would portray IDF soldiers so poorly?
And yes, what review can't mention piss pants. Every time that snowflake in the outpost is in a scene I want to look away. The guy is the ultimate unlikeable character I can remember in any show.
Too bad since the idea of it was great but it is mostly a bad drama and very little action.
My Retro Life (2018)
Super niche to kids of the 80s and 90s
I found this on Prime and it brought back memories. Although it is really short, 10 episodes only 5-15 minutes long it is candy to this big kid who grew up in white suburbia.
Kind of has a Goldberg feel with nothing but old camcorder footage and the kid narrating his childhood. Wish there was more to watch.
Battle of the Blades (2009)
Watched every show since day one...
You got rid of Kirt Browning who skates for Keshia Chanté who hasn't kicked a stride once? Now that they have a PC host who needs a forklift to place her on the ice even Ron McLean cant skate at risk of showing up the non skating host.
This show had soul and now has zero. Too bad!
A One-Time Special (2020)
Garbage
This is an insult that leaves a stain on a great series. 80% commercial for Peacock , 20% horrible script and non storyline.
CNN Tonight (2014)
2014 winner of the CJR Journalist of the Year award.
Actually winner of the "Worst" journalist of the year by Columbia Journalism Review. Some of his accomplishments include:
1, telling a victim of Bill Cosby, "You know, there are ways not to perform BLANK if you don't want to do it. ... Meaning the use of teeth, right?"
2, during the non stop MH370 coverage on CNN back in 2014, he tried to perpetuate the jet could have been swallowed by a black hole anomaly. Seriously?
According to USA TODAY, this is what lead to his notorious award.
What I see every night is an angry man who is just not professional.
Loved the fight with Matt Lewis a few monthes ago. Matt who is pretty much politically agnostic and normally sides with common sense over partisanship had a minute long yelling match with Lemon. Matt wouldnt accept Don's slant on something and Don couldnt accept that.
Unwatchable unless you want one side of the story and nothing else.
Cuomo Prime Time (2017)
Too smart for CNN
Liberal bias aside, I got give Cuomo credit.
First, my favorite part is the last 5 minutes when he hands off to Angry Don. The exchange is priceless, Lemon loves to give his two cents to Cuomo, and every night Cuomo walks away with a nickel. Cuomo is way too smart for Lemon and he keeps him in line with the usual light weight rants.
Normally there is a good one on one with his main guest and it is almost always not the normal CNN regurgitation we've come to expect.
FYI. tune out when he has a panel of talking heads on. You get enough of that already from the other 23hrs.
At This Hour (2014)
Kate Bolduan, too painful to watch
Please put a calmer, more mature host in this slot. The nasal, interupting, and down right annoying Bolduan makes me change the channel - I'll get the exact same news in the next hour anyway.
Anna Cabrera or Fredericka would rock this spot. Even better, get Ashley Banfield back.
I get you want some fresh blood but this girl just doesnt get it. She was co-host with Berman and now her solo shot, but no improvement in the last few years.
with the constant "Thanks Buddy" or other school yard slang talk, she would be better off doing your Bleacher Report or maybe even trade her to Fox Sports to do on field interviews?
Mystery Science Theater 3000: Atlantic Rim (2018)
This turkey is one of the worst!
This mockbuster begs to be riffed but it is not a classic in the MST universe, IMHO.
first, I have to say it wasn't the best material to attack possibly because the movie is only 5 years old, or because we are flooded with these crappy rip-off movies on cable? However, I thought the segments were really notable. The wavvy arm organ was priceless and seeing crow and servo in lower bot torsos was classic.
Easter Egg. I loved the subtle homage to ep. 321 Santa Claus v Martians during the invention exchange. Jonah and the bots did a few bars of Joel Hodgson's classic "A Patrick Swayze Christmas".
Maybe it was just me but the clown from Baywatch who was the star seemed hammered or high in all of his scenes.
The Last Man on Earth (2015)
Decline of western civilization
Millennials will love this one.
A very dystopian present led to this out of touch future. Im guessing its an allegory to how useless and out of touch modern society has become?
Funny as heck because it is brilliant, however I bet this would be the result of the apocalypse, Sad.
Judge Mathis (1999)
Fake and scripted
Seriously! Why! Just plain lazy to hire actors and write scripted cases than to get real small claims cases heard.
Mathis seems like a likable guy but the show plays out like a bad standup routine.
No thanks.
Norm Macdonald Has a Show (2018)
Norm is so intelligent but so dumb
Norm is an old soul. He plays the bumbling idiot which gets his guests to let their guard down. As much as he tries to look like a buffoon he doesnt fool anyone. He has a quick mind and a smart mouth that keeps me laughing.
He has unexpected guests that I've never seen interviewed before like Jude Judy.
One flaw is he has great interviews with comedians but just mediocre ones with non-comedians.
If you like less flash more funny than this is a good watch. I binged the small amount of eps. in two days, I can't wait for more.
For the fans out there, go dig up the ones he did on Yuotube. The format is the same and Adam Eggot is there too.
The People's Court (1997)
The Angry Gossip Queen
Judge Milian is painful to watch. She has two speeds; laid back aloof and loud penetrating scream.
Rarely is there an episode in which she doesn't dig into the disputants to get gossip. It normally gets to a place where they are uncomfortable but feel obligated to answer the almost always irrelevant questioning.
There is a reason why PC gets only a third of the viewership of Judge Judy.
One laugh is the brief but awkwarddddd interactions she has with the bailiff as he cleans her podium before each case.
Milian is on par with Judge Jerry Sheindlen who had a stint in the late 90s, he was so bad I think he only lasted a couple seasons. She comes off as a narcissist who is more about good TV than hearing and judging cases. In all fairness, she is a competent and experienced judge but in her own mind her s*** don't stink.
If you need a court show fix, instead watch a couple of the dozens of Judge Judy airings everyday.
Coronation Street (1960)
PC Street
The new writer has taken it to the top of the politically correct spectrum. I'm all for gay rights but this is a touch too much - where a good amount of the main characters and storylines are gay.
I just watched this weeks episodes and saw two characters arrested and charged without any due process. i feel the way they portray the over-reach of the justice system would be laughable if it wasnt so dangerous to perpetuate. The amount of times someone has been arrested without any investigation, questioning, or representation in the last year couldn't be counted on both hands.
Unfortunately this show is in a rut. The last group of great characters were introduced over ten years ago; Carla, Michele, Becky, New Nick, Lloyd and not a heck of a lot of new blood of any note with the possible exception of Tim and Beth.
I do love this show but less and less over the last few years. Time for a shake up at HQ.
