Line of Duty (2012)
Best police series EVER!!!
In my opinion this is the best police series ever! Well written and well acted with great characters, twists and cliff hanger endings on some episodes, making you want to go straight to the next to find out what the hell is going to happen! I had never watched it before and watched it all on Netflix. I was hooked and watched all 4 seasons in a week. Series 5 starts on BBC 1 on 31st March 2019. All previous episodes are available to watch at present. I am watching them all again now before series 5 starts and this has compelled me to say how good it is! Forget Luther. Steve Arnott and Co are the best telly you can watch! I just cannot express how good this show is!
Das Boot (2018)
Enjoyable television
I don't really understand the negative reviews on here. This series is not a remake so should not be compared. I have just finished watching all 8 episodes and I really enjoyed it. A well thought out storyline and well acted, even if for the most part it is subtitled. The story on the U boat is just as compelling as the story on land. Worth watching.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)
Boring.
Not much of a story line really. I found myself fast forwarding through bits that went on for too long. Glad I watched it on telly and recorded it, think I would have fell asleep at the cinemas! Haven't seen the second one but if it's as dull as this one I wouldn't bother watching it. Give me the Harry Potters any day.
Watership Down (2018)
Not the best graphics, but a great story none the less.
I remember seeing the original film as a kid at the cinema, and not really understanding what was going on, as a child it just went over my head. So with this version, OK, the graphics aren't great, but it is easier to follow. But really, it is the story that matters. A story that was written over 40 years ago I think, and is even more relevant today, as it shows how mankind is destroying the natural world and everything in it with their want and greed and selfishness. I just hope if children do watch, as well as adults, that they realise just what man is doing to the planet and try to change things before it is too late. I enjoyed it, but with sadness in my heart at how true this tale is. I will be watching the second part on BBC tomorrow.
