IPL 2019 Player Auction: It seemed veteran Yuvraj Singh will go unsold, but at the last instance, the Mumbai Indians brought him at his base price of Rs 1 Crore. Yuvi was a part of the Kings XI Punjab franchise in the last season of the IPL, but he did not get among the runs which eventually led to the franchise releasing him. The two-time World Cup winning southpaw is at the fag end of his career and fans were hoping that Chennai Super Kings bid for him, but that did not happen as the Mumbai Indians roped him in.

This could be a turning point for the iconic Indian batsman, who will aim to rekindle his form and fire on all cylinders with his old pal, Rohit Sharma. A good display in the tournament could event foster the chance of his return to the Indian national team and perhaps, even the World Cup.
