Yuvraj Singh In Talks To Join Gujarat Titans Coaching Staff, Homecoming For Rahul Dravid At Rajasthan Royals: Report

New Delhi: Gujarat Titans are likely to have a major shake-up in the coaching staff as head coach Ashish Nehra and Director of Cricket Vikram Solanki are rumoured to leave the franchise after three years. Gujarat Titans won the title on their debut season in 2022 before finishing runners-up the next year. In 2024, Gujarat Titans finished eighth under the leadership of Shubman Gill.

According to a News18 report, Gujarat Titans are in talks with Yuvraj Singh to join their backroom staff. Mentor Gary Kirsten has already left for Pakistan national team. “Lot of changes on the cards. Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki are highly likely to move on and discussions around Yuvraj Singh have already begun,” a source close to the developments was quoted as saying by the website.

“Nothing is finalised right now but there could be some major changes in the coaching staff of the Gujarat Titans,” the source added. Aashish Kapoor, Naeem Amin, Narender Negi and Mithun Manhas are other coaches who are part of the Gujarat Titans coaching staff currently.

On the other hand, former India head coach Rahul Dravid is also in like to return to Rajasthan Royals as head coach. The T20 World Cup-winning coach has played for the franchise in the past and had also served as their mentor in 2014 and 2015.

Meanwhile, the IPL owners is expected to meet the BCCI at the end of the July. The meeting will have Impact Player Rule and salary purse as agendas. The IPL owners have already had one meeting with the BCCI earlier. The upcoming meeting will have final decisions ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
