December 2024 was all about Jasprit Bumrah, whose standout spells in the entire Border-Gavaskar Trophy gave India a chance throughout, whether it was in Brisbane or Melbourne. He kept India in competition with his fiery deliveries, and now the ICC has decided to reward his hard work. Jasprit Bumrah is once again nominated for the second month in succession.
Apart from him, Australian leader Pat Cummins is nominated for his captaincy and brilliant bowling against India in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy. His performances and tactical captaincy helped the Aussies secure an impressive 3-1 victory over India, ending a decade-long hold by India on the BGT. In addition, South Africa’s in-form Dane Paterson, with 13 wickets in two Tests, played a key role in South Africa’s qualification for the WTC final, which they will play against Australia at Lord’s in June.
