Introduction: Easy Made Bar Clamp
Hi everyone! I wanted to have some good bar clamps. So i watched a lot of videos and DIY tutorials to built my own. A lot of them are great but in my opinion you have to do too much detail work for each one of them...
So I decided to create my own an mill them with my cnc.
Step 1: Gather Materials and Tools
Materials you need :
-18mm thick Plywood - for one Clamp you need 3 pieces:
~ 100x200mm
~100x120mm
~100x160mm
- 1x M10 x150mm threaded screw
- 2x M10 Nuts
- 1x M10 thread screw connector
- 2x M6x40 screw,nut and washer
- 1x M5/M6 screw 20mm
- 1x Square tube 1m long 20x20mm
- some screws about 40mm long
Tools you need you can see in the picture. Nothing special...except the CNC
Step 2: Milling All Pieces
The real first step is to mill out all pieces. I added my depths for you as a reference.
Unfortunatelly something went wrong during milling the last part but i kept it anyway because it didnt matter

Step 3: Cleaning Up All Parts and Testing
After milling I had to remove all the fuzz and i tested if the parts fit properly. I put the M10x150mm screw in position. Then I checked if I was able to turn the screw when the parts are put together.
After that I checked if the milled slots had the right size for the square tube. Luckily all parts did well.
Step 4: Screwing and Glueing All Parts
Now i marked all holes free hand with a square and drilled them with a 1mm smaller drill than the screws. Then I countersinked the holes, put some wood glue on the parts and assembled them together with the M10 rod and the connector
Step 5: Machining the Square Tube
On one end i drilled a 6mm hole and assembled a 6mm screw and nut to avoid the movable part from slipping of. After that i drilled a 4 mm hole like you see in the picture in the movable part. Through this i had the first postion for the holes on the tube. After that I made a mark each 45mm on the tube, drilled them with a drill with the same size as the head as the M5x20mm screw. I used a 10mm thick drill bit.
Step 6: Assembling Last Parts....
I assembled the last two parts and marked the holes for the last two screws on the tube. Then I removed the wooden parts not to damage them will drilling. Finally I assembled them to give it a try. At the end of the M10 screw I screwed on a Nut, a wodden part from a previous project, an another nut. It works pretty good.
Step 7: Disassembling
I took all parts apart to give them a final polish and coat: my favourite coulor blue.
Step 8: Done!
After again assembling the work is done! Enjoy!
I will appreciate every comment about the clamps. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
