Introduction: (Suggestion) Box

A clever way to listen to your audience: don't.

Supplies

-old box

-scissors

-modpodge

-spraypaint/paint

-ribbon

-markers

-glue gun

-paper

Step 1: Use Old Shoe Box/cardboard Box

Any cuttable cardboard box should work.

Step 2: Cut Suggestion Slit

At the top of the box, cut a rectangular slit large enough for a folded paper suggestion to fit through.

Step 3: Cut Shoot

To make the shoot, cut a rectangle but leave one line uncut in order to make a trap.

Step 4: Paint Foundation

To create a blank canvas I painted the box in white spray paint.

Step 5: Print & Mod Podge

Since the box itself is an allusion of consider suggestions, I printed some optical illusions to decorate the box. Mod podge works as an easy and smooth adhesive.

Step 6: Ribbon Clean Edges

To cover up the rough edges of the cardboard, I hot glued ribbon pieces to the openings.

Step 7: Suggestion

Next, I hand drew a "suggestions" label as well as drawing the words "not welcome" and "welcome" on opposite sides of the trap to show that when the trap is open suggestions are: not welcome, and vise versa.

Step 8: Hook

For a hook I simply used a tied ribbon loop. Hot glueing a cooper/plastic hook or even using a nail from the inside could work as a hook depending on where the box is placed.
