Justin Simpson Spotted Shopping (and Smiling!) at Walmart Following Father’s Parole Hearing
O.J. Simpson’s son Justin Simpson was all smiles yesterday while out shopping — and the reason is pretty clear! Just hours after a panel of four commissioners granted O.J. “The Juice” parole for armed robbery, the 28-year-old went shopping at a Walmart in his hometown of St. Petersburg, FL.
The real estate agent couldn’t hide how he felt while carrying a bag of items to his car in pink shorts and a bright blue polo. He politely ignored journalists’ requests for comment.
Justin was only seven-years-old when his mother, Nicole Brown Simpson, was brutally murdered outside their home in Brentwood, CA, along with her friend Ron Goldman. He and his sister, Sydney — now 31 — were asleep inside at the time. Their father was famously acquitted of the killings in 1995 but was imprisoned in 2008 for an unrelated armed robbery case.
Although he and Sydney were not present at his hearing on July 20, their older half-sister Arnelle Simpson, 48, was. She took the stand and read a letter as to why her father should be released. She said, “No one really knows how much we have been through, this ordeal in the last nine years… My experience with him is that he’s like my best friend and my rock. And as a family, we recognize that he is not the perfect man but he is clearly a man and a father who has done his best to behave in a way that speaks to his overall nature and character, which is always to be positive no matter what.”
Arnelle Simpson reacts to the parole verdict on July 20, 2017.

She continued, “This has been hard, I’m going to be honest. This has been really, truly hard. There is no right or wrong way to explain how to handle this, but we do know that — I know that — he is remorseful. He truly is remorseful and we just want him to come home so that we can move forward for us, quietly, but to move forward.” Arnelle, Justin, and the rest of the Simpson clan will be able to do just that as early as Oct. 1.
