Ice skating fans - this is your Holy Grail.
At a whopping 7.8 kilometres, the Rideau Canal Skateway is the world's largest natural skating rink.
Located in Ottawa, the vast frozen surface is the focal point of the famous Winterlude Festival.
Running from 29 January to 15 February every year, the three-week event transforms Canada’s capital city with more than 500,000 visitors hitting the Skateway for sub zero fun.
As well as skating (obviously) ice lovers can indulge in a range of frozen activities with a hockey tournament, winter triathlon, and ice sculpture displays.
There's also a magical Snowflake Kingdom for the little ones, which has been billed as North America’s biggest children’s snow playground.
Canadian Sky is offering a three-night break in central Ottawa over this period from €859 per person.
