An Ayrshire MMA star is set to fight on the biggest stage at UFC 296 in Las Vegas this weekend.
‘King’ Casey O’Neill, 26, was born in Irvine and grew up in Kilmarnock before moving to Australia at the age of 10.
A proud Scot who has used 'Loch Lomond' by Runrig as her walk-out song, Casey is currently ranked 12th in the women's flyweight division.
She will fight Brazilian Ariane Lipski in Las Vegas on the preliminary card of UFC 296: Edwards vs Covington on Saturday, December 16,
Victory would be the 10th of Casey's professional MMA career and would take her to within reach of the division's top 10.
The daughter of former professional kickboxer Cam O’Neill, Casey was first introduced to the sport at the age of four before transitioning and competing in her first amateur MMA fight at 15.
Training out of Xtreme Couture MMA in Las Vegas, her stock has risen quickly since her UFC debut in 2021 and she remains one of the sport's brightest young talents.
Since turning pro in 2019, she has had three victories by knockout and two by submission, with an overall record of nine wins, one loss and zero draws.
Saturday's contest will be shown live on TNT Sports Box Office at UFC 296: Edwards vs. Covington.
