Rhea's Personal life

We all know the affairs and controversy about Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput, who is no more now. Rhea first time met with Sushant Singh on the set of YRF films in 2013. From April 2019 both, the couple started dating each other. In The Same year (2019), in September, Rhea established Vividrage Rhealityx, an artificial intelligence company in partnership with her brother and her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. After that, the couple started living together from December 2019. On June 8th 2020, Rhea moved out due to some conflict, and on June 14^th 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide in the same home.

However, the exact cause of suicide is still a mystery, but at that time, Rhea was trolled for Sushant suicide. She was being accused of it. Sushant family lodged an FIR (first information report) in their home town Patna, Bihar, against Rhea Chakraborty. He also accused some others who were nearest to Sushant. He charged them for abetment of suicide, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, theft, criminal breach of trust, and cheating. Sushant's father told in the FIR that before his suicide, Sushant shared about his threat and the problem with his sister. Actually, before his suicide, Sushant was in a medical condition, and he was taking medicines for depression. He told his sister that Rhea was threatening him that she would make public his medical receipts and would prove him mad. She would trap him for his secretary's suicide. And also, before Sushant's suicide, Rhea took away all his medical receipts. After Sushant suicide first ED Enforcement Directorate asked a question to Rhea Chakraborty about herself and her brother for charges of money laundering over them. After that, due to much controversy in investigations Supreme Court of India decided to give control of the investigation to the CBI. On September 8th Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by NCB Narcotics Control Bureau. NCB accused her and her brother of supplying drugs to Sushant Singh Rajput. For that, she was housed at Byculla Jail in Mumbai.

There Rhea remand was extended till October 20th by the Mumbai Sessions Court, but the very next day, she got bail by the Bombay High Court. The High Court does not accept the accused of NCB that Reha Chakraborty supplied and financed for the drug to Sushant Singh Rajput. Instead of that allegation, High Court found that Rhea was not involved in the drug case. In this respect, justice Sarang Kotwal wrote that:

She has not forwarded the drugs allegedly procured by her to somebody else to earn monetary or other benefits.

Rhea was trolled by media and threatened by Sushant's fan.

BBC News gave a report that after Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide Reha Chakraborty was trolled by some high-profile India's journalists as well as by social media. They accused her for she performed black magic that forced Sushant to his suicide. Even a fan of Sushant Singh threatened Rhea on Instagram. He threatened her by saying that she would be raped and murdered, and also he urged her for committing suicide; else, he would send people for killing her. On this threat, Rhea asked for help from the cyber crime police. Overall, these scenarios, and controversy Meenakshi Arora a senior counsel of Supreme Court, told to the BBC that the media had already declared Rhea guilty. Further, she told that "she's been hanged, drawn and quartered. It's a complete trial by media". Some activists made an appeal to the Bombay High Court that this kind of reportage should be restricted because due to this kind of sensational news, the investigation could be hampered. In this respect, news channels like Times Now, Republic TV, Zee News, News 18 and India today were accused who conducting the parallel trial. A press council is also known as PCI, was established on August 28th by the parliament. The PCI is an autonomous press watchdog. That gave advice to the media for not doing a parallel trial. The PCI said that such a story and the coverage of the Sushant Singh Rajput case by the media is a violation of the norms of journalistic conduct.

For targeting and trolling Rhea Chakraborty, an Indian journalist and social media, was criticized by the associate professor of University of Michigan Joyojeet Pal and their colleagues in their study "Anatomy of a rumour: social media and the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput". Even Indian journalists and social media were also criticized by the other international media. South china morning post said that the Indian TV channel made this case bigger than the covid-19 battle. Variety said that television anchors made themselves judge and did trials on primetime television. Further, Variety also criticized the public and audience for consuming the ongoing drama with relish.
