The Rotring 800+ Mechanical Pencil + Stylus Hybrid conveniently combines a mechanical pencil and stylus at the same end! With its unique retractable mechanism, switch seamlessly between the two by simply twisting the top to extend the pencil or retract it back to use the stylus. The capacitive stylus works on smartphones, tablets, and other touch screen devices. 100% effective at every angle, the precision stylus tip allows for high accuracy, control, and speed. The mechanical pencil features Rotring's brass mechanism to provide precise lead advancement, and a fixed lead guidance sleeve prevents breakage and offers a clear view of the page. A knurled non-slip grip provides comfort. The tool's ergonomic metal barrel has a nice, balanced weight, and its hexagonal shape ensures fatigue-free writing and drawing and keeps the tool from rolling when laid down.

After comparing this 800+ to my standard 800, I was unable to find any difference except for minor cosmetic changes. The retractable brass tip and the lead feed mechanizms seem identical to me. I think the dual purpose pencil/stylus is a great idea and we'll be seeing more of them. I hope someone was smart enough to allow for a replacement rubber stylus tip. The MSRP for the 800+ is about $10 more than the 800 and I don't think anyone would disagree that both of these are expensive instruments. I mean you could buy a 600 and a Rapid Pro (my two favorites) and have money left over. A point of interest; I think the good old days of those very nice Rotring boxes is coming to and end and we will be seeing more of these fold up triangular shape containers for all of their models.

Idk why so many people complain. It is expensive, luxury, and not perfect. but you should know what you're paying for. love using this pencil for drawing on my tablet, since i dont like to carry around an extra stylus.

La calidad de los materiales de fabrica es buenísimo, excepto por la pintura que en poco tiempo de uso comienza a salir, desaparece el nombre de la marca y se empieza a ver el metal brillante bajo la pintura del lápiz.
